Another Car Seat question

We have a Ford Expedition and I'm wondering if anyone knows if 3 car seats will fit in it. We only have one back seat and DD currently has a regular Graco convertible car seat. We'll most likely be getting the Graco Snugrides at first for the girls. Am I being optimistic in thinking these will all fit?


Any suggestions for differnet cars/minivans, etc.??

 

I have a toyota 4runner that is a heck of a lot slimmer than an expedition and I have 3 carseats across so you should have no problems fitting 3.
It will probably work better for you also because your daughter can crawl across the twins seats into her own ( if she's in the middle) and you can put the twins on each side making this easy to get them in and out. I have to put Stone in first ( he's in the middle) and then help the girls in. Either way it works fine, not enough of a pain to break down and buy a minivan!!!! sorry MV drivers. P

 

Thanks! I am worried about not being able to get back there with the twins, though. Especially when DD was a baby, I rode back there with her. On trips it was wonderful, because I could entertain her, give her snacks, etc. I even leaned over her carseat to BF her! How has this situation been for others? We will be doing some travelling when the twins are still young.

Could a Mod please link this to Parenting or whatever Forums are most relevant?

 

I know that in our suburban (hubby drives now) we pretty easily get 3 seats across... it has the same size seat as a tahoe... which is about the same as an expedition so it should be fine.

It was my suburban, but my son is only gonna be 22-23 months old when the girls are born... I will have 3 under 2 & my son is to small still to get up into he seat by himself, so I broke down & got a Grand Caravan. But We also have an older suburban... its a 93' & the biggest longest that they make... I was tired of driving a truck!

 

We have an Armada. When I had the twins facing rear in the middle row and Gregory in center back facing forward, I would sit in the back with Gregory when DH drove. I could feed bottles etc by leaning forward over the seat. And Gregory loved me sittng next to him... I had one twin behind the driver, and one in center. I had the passenger side middle row folded up towards the front for easy in and out of the back row. HTH
