I feel horrible to say that I did not know about BPA until the posting the other day. I am going to get some BPA bottles and my concern is that both DS and DD have horrible reflux so we put cereal in their bottles. We need to use the Y cut nipples or else we have a horrible time with them clogging. Does anyone know if any of the BPA bottles either make Y cut nipples or else can use a nipple from another brand such as Dr. Browns nipples. Like with the podee bottle we use the Y cut Dr. Browns nipples and they work great.

Our Playtex Ventairs have the y cut, though I'm not sure if they are on the "naughty" list or not.

You can get regular Gerber Clear View bottles, which are cheap, come in a 3-pack, and are BPA-free, and just use Dr. Brown's nipples with them. Works great for us -- we don't use the Y-cut nipples, but we use regular Dr. Brown's level 3, and it works fine.

If your kiddos like Dr. Brown's, chances are they won't like Born Free, because the nipples are wide, like Avents....

Nuby bottles will fit with the Dr. Brown nipples too. (And they are a lot cheaper than some of the other BPA free bottles.)

Walmart has some BPA Free bottles in thier brand (Parents Choice). They say on the packaging BPA Free and they are 2.88 per bottle!

Be careful w/ Playtex... They are on the naughty list. I was surprised because I thought that all liners were BPA Free, but not so... Playtex uses BPA in their liners!

We use the Gerber clear view bottles with Dr. Browns insides and nipples. The Gerber bottles are really cheap (3 bottles for $4) and you can get them everywhere - Walmart, Walgreens, grocery store, etc.

Dr. Brown's now has glass bottles. I just bought some at Babies 'R Us. They are also suppose to come out with BPA free plastic bottles at the end of March.

According to http://zrecs.blogspot.com/2007/11/z-report-bpa-gerber.html clear view bottles are BPA free. I wish there was a real way to look at a box and be able to tell. It is all so confusing. I just went out and bought the some clear view bottles so I hope this is right.

You are rught! I was thinking of the gentle flow... Walmart's Parents choice brand makes a 3 pack that does say BPA Free on it. I thought when my husband tol me about them they were 2.88 per bottle, but they are 2.88 for the 3-pack!!!!

MAM by Sassy has BPA free bottles. You can only order them online but their customer service is great! I emailed them questions and they answered right away. They are also very reasonably priced compared to Born Free. The Medela bottles that you pump into are also BPA free but I am not sure about the nipples.

    Good luck!

I've been using Dr. Brown's for 3 months and just love them. After reading about the BPA issue in their bottles, I quickly sent my husband out to buy the Gerber Clear View bottles on the advice of the members of this site. I tried to put the Dr. Brown's parts inside and they are too big! How is everyone using the Dr. Brown's parts in the Gerber bottles? Help please!

I got the clearview bottles and just replaced the nipples with a Dr. Brown nipple. It should work for you, hope you figure it out.

What about the valve and the long tube? I want to continue using those parts as well, but they are too long!
