What are you ladies doing for your bedding? Are you going with 2 of the same set or trying to find 2 that look good together? We're not going with a theme in the nursery - just patterns and colors.

Just wanted to know what others are doing. I'm so new to all of this baby stuff :icon_biggrin:

I have another option. We onlt had 1 baby bed so we only had one set. They shared until 12 months

I did coordinated. I also had a boy and a girl, so two pink sets of bedding would have looked funny! ;) But if I had had the same sex, I would have done coordinating. I hate buying two of the same thing. Even if ots the same, but different colors, thats ok. :)

We have only one crib and it is a boy and a girl so we chose denim. It seems mostly unisex. We don't have a theme either, but I like fun colors like lime green and orange. It works for either baby. But I am a funky mama anyways.

We are having two girls- and my mom is being so kind as to make the bedding sets for me! She made one in pink and one in purple, but used the same print.

I didn't even worry about coordinating the bedding with my b/g twins. And we moved them into their own rooms at 7 months so it didn't even matter. And even before that it didn't matter.

I got the same so I didn't have to fuss around with finding the right sheet etc. They are just all the same so it doesn't matter. It looks really cute too!

With two boys, I bought one bumber and two matching crib skirts. I figure by the time they are big enough to be in two cribs, we won't want/neeed the bumber anymore since they will be moving around a lot.

We're having two boys and my mom is making the bedding -- two of the same set.

I posted above on the b/g bedding topic w/ pics, but decided that if we have 2 of the same, I'm doing the same but with different colors:
    2 girls:
    both crib skirts green
    1 sheet/bumper pink
    1 sheet/bumper lavender

    2 boys:
    crib skirt green
    1 sheet/bumper blue
    1 sheet/bumper yellow

I really want them to have at least different colors since they are different people.

See, I chose to do the same because they are babies and don't know the difference right now, and it makes my life easier to have doubles of the stuff instead of trying to match up and know who gets what. (Not to forget that my husband would have no idea who got what and things would get all mixed up anyhow.) My boys are using some of the same stuff my daughter used, and they are different people... I just have to do what is easy for me in the beginning. :)

i am going to make my own as soon as we find out what we are having. I am going to use coordinating colours and patterns and enhance their room with a feature wall.

We did our nursery pretty unisex b/c we knew we wanted more kids in the future. It's painted 2 different colors and those colors are seperated by a border with baby and mommy animals. it's adorable. We didn't buy the bedding sets b/c there was other stuff on our registry that we wanted people to buy and those bedding sets are SO expensive, so we didn't even register for them. Here's what we did. We bought two matching dust ruffles (in colors that matched the border) for the cribs...then we bought 6 sets of sheets...we have 3 matching sets but they are never on the bed matching b/c if I have to change one, I don't just change the other just so it matches...lol). For blankets, I made them each their own fleece tie blanket (those ones with the knots on the ends). Reagan's is a princess one and Morgan's is an angel one. After they stopped using sleep sacks and such, this is what they have used. Our house stays pretty warm in the winter, so these blankets along with footed "nammies" (that's what they call them) keeps them warm at night. We will do the same when this baby comes along since it will use the same nursery and we'll just get new sheets if it's a boy :) We'll we do have some sheets that could be unisex.

I choose to do the same for both girls ~ I'm not the best decorator in the world so it made it easy to keep the room organized & looking 'put-together'!

Once we learned we were having boys, I made the curtains and bumpers myself out of fabric that looked nice with their wallpaper border. I made them both the same. The sheets are plain white because everything else in the room is pretty busy. I wasn't too keen on the bedding sets because I didn't want to use the comforter (we use sleep sacks) and the crib skirt wouldn't work with our cribs (drawers).

When they get old enough to care, they'll get to pick the theme for their big boy room and we'll make it work if they like two different things but for now, this was what worked for me.

neither. I picked out the girl's bedding (winnie the pooh, of course, hehe) and let the hubby pick out eh boy's. He went with a really cute bear/sports set. So all in all it reflects us as a family, unusual and mismatched, haha

We found bedding that is plaids and paisley...one is pinks and browns and the other is blues and browns. We are having b/g twins that will share a room until the girl is old enough to share a room with her big sis. We are going to paint three walls white and one brown accent wall to bring it together. Our furniture is white. I hope it looks cute.
