I am getting so annoyed with a male co-worker. He "decided" that I am going to give birth by May 15th (the babies are due June 12th). That's a month early! Now, I know that it's very likely the twins will come early and I am prepared for that. BUT this guy keeps repeating "May 15th!" every time he sees me. I could smack him. I just don't know how to explain the way this bothers me. <Sigh>

I understand how that could bother you!

I had one man who worked in the same building as me and came down to the clinic semi-regularly and every. time. he'd say "Boy, you've gotten as big as a house!" Thanks...

I finally told him after asking him to lay off a few times, 'Yeah, I'm having twins, what's your excuse?' I knew he wanted to lose a few pounds, and it probably wasn't the polite thing to say but he never said it again!

In your situation, I'd probably say, lightheartedly , "I'm pregnant, not hard of hearing...I heard you the first fifteen times you said it, enough!"

I worked with one of these guys only he wanted me to have them AT 22 WEEKS. I finally had finished being polite and I told him that if they were born then, they'd die and asked if he wanted them to die. His response was, "Of course not! I just want them to be born then." Some people are just that obnoxious.

I like the hard of hearing comment suggested by a PP.

Agree that would be a good idea.

Oh, I am a poor excuse for a gambler. ;-) I always seem to be on the wrong end of the bet.

OUCH! I actually had to do that to my grandmother because I was so sick of her "fat" comments.

I feel your pain. My boss and project manager daily ask me if I've written up all my transition documentation because they are worried I'll have the baby on April 30th. I'm due June 3rd!!! Do they want me to have a preemie? I feel like saying "if I do have my baby early it will be because of all the extra stress you've put me under talking about it." :(
