Angelo's Heart Surgery

As some of you know, and as many of you don't.. my son Angelo underwent open-heart surgery this morning due to a hole in his heart and a leaky valve. This matter has been known since birth and I was fortunate enough to have the care I do at the Golosano's Children's Hospital here at Strong Memorial.


I am happy to say that after 4 hours of surgery, Angelo has done magnificant and is currently in the Cardiac Perinatal Intensive Care Unit and doing VERY well. He is breathing through a breathing tube for the time being but will hopefully be off of it sometime tonight. We are aiming to go home sometime on Sunday.


The staff and surgeon's here have been Godsent.
I am currently staying here at the hospital up in the Ronald McDonald house so I will keep you posted with ANY and ALL updates.

We are thinking you all and praying for your precious little Angelo.

 

He is in my prayers...he is in great care at Strong, they are so wonderful there. The nurses and doctors are wonderful and truly care about your children and you. My boys were born at Strong and spent a month in the NICU there.

I hope he has a fast recovery! My DS Riley had his heart surgery there when he was 6 days old and it is a great hospital and the staff was great. letr me know if you need anything. Good luck to you and your family.

Just said a prayer for your little guy and your family. I know it is a tough and scary experience. Our DS had open heart surgery at 8 weeks old. He is doing well and gaining wieght like he should be. It can be very difficult on your family due to the stress, so many prayers going your way.
