Wow.. that kind of surprises me. Three months is good though. I wonder how long she lasted with Shiloh.

Too bad she wasn't a member here! We could have helped her with that ;) I think it's great that she's talking about breastfeeding her twins though (unlike JLo).

i remember when JLo had her post-twins People magazine spread (it was in my second trimester) & she was prancing around her estate in a pink taffeta gown and high heels & i remember thinking "great, that's what i have to live up to?!?". i was so annoyed by that article - it just seemed so surreal. i much preferred the article on Brad & Angie's twins - they just seem so much more relatable. but really, at the end of the day, who cares? we're all just people, aren't we. :D

I'm confused, did she stop tandem-feeding at 3 months, or breastfeeding altogether at 3 months? Either way, kudos to her. Too bad she didn't come here for support! You ladies helped me get through some difficult times in the beginning!!

Well, I guess we're all tougher and stubborner and more resourceful than Angelina Jolie, then! :blbl:

Did JLo even breastfeed? I never heard about it.

LOL, think about all of the hired help she had too. Nurses, nannies, maids, chefs. I bet most of us don't have any of those things. Well I have a DH, but he comes cheap and doesn't cook :D

I think she's either pregnant or trying and thinks BF will interfere with that, but that's just a hunch based on nothing. I agree with Kristi...she quit just when it was about to get easier! Although, traveling for weeks at a time to promote a movie and not always with them would add a challenge.

No, JLo didn't. In People she said her mother didn't do it, so she wasn't going to either.

Really, I know I'm being judgmental here, but is that really a good reason. It sounds so unreflective.

I don't think that is the real reason she didn't bfeed. But who is going to say... I just thought it would be too hard or whatever. BUT I am not her so I do not know what she was thinking, however, I find it hard to believe she made the decision solely on the fact that her mother did not breastfeed.

As far as Angelia goes, I think it is great that she attempted it and was so open about how challenging it was and that she did try to make it work. I am a bit disappointed only because I always think it is great when a celebrity bfeeds and I think if she would have stuck it out a bit longer, it would have gotten easier and could have made a huge impact on breastfeeding advocacy.... because we all know that what the celebs do is so important in our daily lives. Why I am so obsessed? I try not to care, but I am always reading the mags! :D

I have yet to read the replies but all I could think was she must not have visited here for support. I thought she would still be going. I agree with her, it is hard, very hard, one of the reasons I hesitate on having kids again. Scared it would be twins again and going through the BF again and I know I could bottlefeed but the guilt in me would force me to BF.

It gets easier at 3 months?!?! Why, how? That's great information to look forward to :)

Is it bad that I feel better about myself, LOL bless her heart, I agree that what got me through it was being stubborn and the fact I had told everyone that I was going to BF without knowing just how damn tough it was. No way was I going to wimp out!

YES! Your babes will stay awake while nursing and they eventually get quicker...not yet but they will AND, you have probably gone through 2 growth spurts already. Soon they should be sleeping longer. Oh, and a big plus...they start smiling.

Haha, I have to laugh because we think this is one of those factors (breastfeeding) that got us twins!

Hey, I just want to thank Angelina for telling folks that it is hard work b-feeding twins because the general public is ignorant about twin challenges. They just think, Twins! Cool! I wish I had twins!

I was out in public a couple of months with all my kids and my DH at a restaurant. We were waiting to be seated when I overhead a lady talking to my DH (he was holding both babies in their carriers while I was sitting on a bench with my toddler). She said, "Oh I have five kids too, but I did mine the hard way. I had them one at a time. Your wife did it the easy way getting two at once."

Wh-wh-what?!?!? Nevermind I spent a lot of time on bedrest and scared to death that TTTS was going to kill them. I wanted to slap that ignorant lady.

ok What was this lady thinking? Was she senial? Did she forget how hard one baby is? What would make her think that two babies are easier? I am glad you were able to not say anything. I don't know if I could have. Probably embarssed my DH, but wouldn't be the first or last time that happened. I tend to say things without speaking.

    Isn't that the truth :)

I tend to think that if only she could have stuck it out longer it would have been great publicity for breastfeeding. But then again, if my entire life was cut down to one article, what would be in it and what would be left out? I don't know exactly, but I do know that the rest of the country would probably think I was nuts :) So who knows what is really going on at Angie's house.
