We know we want to get the Angel Monitors for our to-be babies. I'm just confused on what I need to get. Do I need to buy two separate kits - so a A KIT = the sensor pad and two monitors for each baby...so we'd end up with 2 sensor pads and 4 monitors...OR do I need to get two sensor pads and 2 monitors, and each monitor can be set to a different frequency. Does that make sense at all?

If anyone could help me understand what to get, I would SOOO appreciate it!

    Thanks!

I'm not sure if you can buy this configuration, but you need:

    2 sensor pads
2 monitor units--one attaches to each sensor pad
1 parental unit--you can carry this around with you

You can set the parental unit to the channel for one monitor. The monitor also has a traditonal sound monitor function so you will hear the other monitor that way should it ever beep.

Not sure if that makes sense. But, as far as I know, you do need to buy 2 kits to acheive this combination.

We got two of these Angelcare units. So we have 2 sensors, 2 nursery units that attach to sensor, and 2 parental units. I wouldn't think you need 4 parental units, but then again we do have a ridiculous number of monitors and parental units throughout our house, LOL. For the Angelcares 2 parental units were enough though, we keep 1 in our master bedroom and 1 in the guest room where my computer desk is.

I will say that I looooved using those Angelcare monitors in the mini-crib when the boys stayed in our room for the first few months. We didn't have any false alarms with that setup. But after we moved the boys to their big cribs in the nursery we started having more false alarms. I figured it is because the mini-crib's mattress was only 3 inches thick compared to the 6 inch mattresses in their big cribs, so it could better detect their breathing in the mini-crib. I'm still glad we got them because they gave us wonderful peace of mind when they first came home from the NICU and slept in the mini-crib, but once the boys moved to the nursery and we had too many false alarms we turned off the motion sensor and now only use the Angelcares for sound.

    Yes two sets!

We love them too! You HAVE to use them w a flat bottom crib though.. if you have slats it'll give you false alarms. When my brother used it w his ds he had to cut a board to put under the mattress.
