A girl I know is inquiring about an Angel Care System for twins. Is there one? Or do you need 2 seperate ones? What is everyone using? I never used these. Thanks.

I've never heard of one for twins. I think you would need 2 separate ones because it works by detecting movement. So even if one were to stop breathing the monitor wouldn't pick it up because it would still detect movement from the other twin. I never used this for my twins but I bought one for my singletons. For our twins I just used a cheap monitor just to hear if they cried. When they were really small they had naps in the pack and play out in the living room and they slept in our room at night. Maybe a video monitor would work for your friend?

You need two and they must be in separate cribs.

We use AngelCare monitors with our twins and, yes, you have to have them in separate cribs. Buy one monitor set that includes the pad, alarm cone, and monitor (the Deluxe is a good option) and then another one with just the pad and the alarm cone. Two monitors will interfere with each other and you really only need one anyhow because it'll pick up the sound of the other alarm cone. Total cost for us for both monitors was about $200. They work well, although if your twins are small you might have to adjust the sensitivity settings to prevent a lot of false alarms.

Yes, you must have two. It actually says that about twins on the box. I bought two thinking we would use them, but our boys ended up sleeping in Rock'n Play sleepers for 3 months. They're 6 mos now and we just returned them.
