How precious! Your girly is so cute!

An American Tail is a favorite of my family. It first came out in 1986 when my kids were 6 and 4, shortly after we had moved 500 miles away from all of our extended family. We bought the soundtrack after seeing the movie, and my kids absolutely loved the song "Somewhere Out There", they learned every single word within the week. We tape-recorded them singing it and sent it to my mom. My mom flat wore that tape out! When my dad died in 2005, the only song she was adamant about having sung at his funeral was "Somewhere Out There" and oh my did the tears flow for all of us. The words are perfect, and the memories of my kids singing that song is so precious to all of my family.

My mom died just seven months later and of course we had "Somewhere Out There" sung at her funeral too. It will forever hold such a special place in my heart. In fact, just hearing the name Feivel brings sadness AND joy to me even now ...
