Am I the odd one?

I have no inclination to change the nursery decor for the new baby. The twins had classic pooh (mint green) and I figure why go through the trouble of painting & getting all new stuff. Am I the odd person out? What have you done? We will be moving the twins to a different room and re-painting that. Why does it just seem easier to change the nursery around so the twins keep the mint and the new baby gets a gender appropriate room? Suggestions?

I'm not changing anything. The baby will sleep in our room in a PNP until the kids can move to toddler beds and then it will go into the nursery, just like it is. I'm actually not buying anything, I have everything that I need regardless of the sex of the baby.

Our baby will be sleeping with us in a PP, mostly its easier thna getting up and going across the house to nurse the baby every 2 hours or so and I am just not comfortable having our baby sleep so far away from us until he/she is a little bigger. Our girls never really had a decoarated room because we lived on post and you werent allowed tp paint. We got some of those wall stickers to make the room a little girlie but that was it. We arent finding out the sex of this baby so I wouldnt have any idea what to do as a theme either.

We're not re-decorating either. The new baby will share a room with Jax and the walls are sage green. The curtain is baseball themed, but we're gonna go with it for now. In the scheme of things, it not a huge priority for us.

You're definitely not the only one!

Nope that's not odd at all. When I did the twins room (I already knew it was 2 girls), we still did it gender-neutral b/c we knew we wanted to have at least one more baby. Well, after I had the girls, I kind of regretted not going all frilly and pink...lol. We painted the walls in the nursery...the bottom 2/3 is painted a bluish gray and the top 1/3 is painted a yellow. There is border of mom/baby animals that seperate the paint colors. the whole nursery is very soft and pastel colors....easily for boys or girls. Now that we know we are having another girl, I STILL wanted to go girly...lol! so, I painted the other room for the twins to move into adn the baby will keep the same nursery. I went PURPLE in the girls' new room (which we should have them moved into in the next 2 weeks and then I'll put up pics) and girly with flower and butterfly print comforters.

I'm not redecorating the room the twins are in. They are just going to stay where they are. We have another bedroom that we will be converting into the new babies room.

we're in a 2 bdrm townhouse and dont have much room so the baby and the boys will all sleep in the same room which is done in Classic Pooh (light yellow and cream) and the only "new" thing i have done is paint letters for Peytons name just as I had the boys done. Not much new at all. my parents did get us a new swing though cause we lent ours out and never got it back - nor will we ever. other than that, he's got all hand me downs and stuff.

I'm so practical...that even on my first child, whom I knew was a girl, I decorated the room a neutral theme...it was Malawi with yellow and green paint on the walls. It worked out perfectly for the twins....and this little one will be sharing the room with her brother. (my two other girls already share another room). She'll be in a PNP until she sleeps more solidly, but then she'll be in the nursery in a crib while her brother is in a toddler bed. (I also want her to be big enough to survive should he decide to "help out" and throw stuffed animals or blankets in the crib for her!!)

We moved into our townhouse 5 days before we had Chloe and Cole, so I have never painted, or even hung anything on the nursery walls. I did make coordinating bedding for them, but that is about it. The new baby is getting even less. We are in the air about trying to move to a new house (housing market really stinks here) and I just don't want to decorate anything only to be moving next month (I don't really see that happening, but who knows). I do have fabric for bedding, neutral periwinckle blue, but I am quickly running out of time to get anything made. The new baby will be with us in our room in a PNP for a while so I figure I have time to get it all together (at least I like to trick myself into thinking I have time).

We are keeping Abby and Kate in their room, so we have to do a little decorating in the baby's room as well as some redocorating in their room. I am on the fence about using the same bedding that they used. My mom offered to buy something new, but I think I may ask her to chip in for Abby and Kate's new bedding instead. We just purchased them big girl beds last weekend and will be transitioning them over in 3-4 weeks when they come in and when DH is done traveling. I was originally planning to try to keep the same sort of theme in their room (pastel bugs) and matching the new bedding to it, but they have both told me they want princess bedding. I guess I still have a few weeks to decide!

We didn't change anything either. The girls' room remained the same and we put Dax and his crib in our room. It's a little snug but easier for nighttime feedings. :) Dax didn't get any new bedding except for a few sets of sheets and some blankets people knit for him. We really didn't need a new crib set.

Oh I changed it because I just had to have a pink room!
