I have my c-section scheduled for 37 1/2 weeks. From the birth announcements around here it seems most don't make it that long. Is there a chart somewhere that shows the percentages of gestational age at birth for twins?

Hmm, not sure about the chart, but I made it to my scheduled c-section at 37.5 weeks :good:
I know plenty of ladies on here have made it that far (and further!!)
    Hang in there momma!!!

I made it to 37.5 (actually supposed to have my C-section today) but the amnio showed Baby A's lungs weren't fully mature, so the C-section is rescheduled for 38.5 weeks...I haven't had any kind of consistent contractions, so I think these babies are pretty happy staying in as long as they're allowed! ;)

    Good Luck!

Ok. I feel better now! It seems like everyone was going at 34/35 weeks. Thanks, ladies!

I'm 36 weeks tommorow, and my C-Section is scheduled for June 3rd (38 weeks). I'm still working full time and at my appt today I'm 2 cm dialated. I think I'll go all the way...but I'm holding out for Baby B to put his/her pretty little head into my cervix so I don't have to do the C-Section. 2 weeks of 'up in the air'.... UGH!

Check out the 4th sticky post under Important Topics. There's a chart in there, for the girls on twinstuff, that is.

I was barely dilated at 38 when they took mine. I know it seems like many twins are born a lot earlier, and some are. I was totally ready for them to come early. But I was lucky.

I rested ALOT. I stopped working at 28 weeks. My dr gave me a note once I told her I was stressed. Drank a lot of water, and sat on my a** until those babies came. I was so uncomfortable, I could barely walk around the block, but I did walk everyday (until I was told not to)..

Its hard, and I totally hear you, its very hard carrying two! But your doing great, and you will be ok.

Every pregnancy is so different, there is really no way you can predict when your twins will be born. There are so many factors to it all. Just keep doing everything you can to help them along. :)
