Am I crazy?

I have bought a few things for the new baby in the past few days..... I sold off alot of the big stuff I had and there was a few things I didnt have for the boys that I knew I wanted this time around and I have been picking them up when i see them..

Today I bought a activity dome and some onesies.. and a Detroit Tigers outfit..

The other day when I was a target they had Hollaween costumes for 99 cents so I bought a pink cat and a orange pumpkin..lol im covering my bases b/c I wont know the gender for weeks from now....

anyway is it way way to early for me to buy things?? I just so gosh darn excited but i dont want to jinx (sp) anything.. I mean I have not even had my first appt yet.....


When did you start buying for the new little one?

 

If your crazy then so am I! I have bought a few toys for the baby that I got really good deals on that I never was able to get for my girls too. I bought some crib sheets and blankets and even a box of diapers I got for 6 dollars!! I started buying things early with my girls too and thought I would jinx myself if I didnt do what I did last time!! I totally understand how you feel.

 

I started buying things as soon as we started TTC!! I am only 11 weeks along, but just bought a baby bowling set from Discovery Toys - it is sooo cute (ages 18 months+ though). We had a 1-year-old visiting tonight and it was a hit with him - I can't wait to see our baby playing with it

 

Even with the twins we didn't start buying things very early! We were lucky that the twins waited until I was 38 weeks to make their appearance!! Whew!

That said, I haven't bought anything for this one. We'll find out in just over two weeks (hopefully) who is going to have a roommate! Then perhaps.. but we don't need too much, AND who has the money to get a lot!

I hear ya on that!!!! Money is super tight but I do most if not all my shopping at m2m sales and save tons of money..
the dome I bought todat would cost 50.00 new in the store and I got it for 3.00... and a package of onesies you get 5 in a store for 10.00 i got 15 today for 5.00 in new condition......

this is the way to shop i swear!!!

Well I wish I could buy stuff… I am extreme the other way… my son didn’t have ANY furniture when he was born… when I had him grandma and great grandma went out and bought his car seat and stroller and a bassinette so we could get home from the hospital and he wouldn’t have to sleep in a drawer… but I was so nervous I would loose him, I didn’t want to have that stuff reminding me if I did (I had lost a pregnancy a month before I got pregnant with him… so the scares were still fresh)
Now THIS pregnancy, I am more laid back, BUT my mom showed me yesterday the sweaters she is knitting the twins and I had a “jinx thought” run through my mind… and you cant go through a pregnancy like that… I guess I am waiting to know the sex before I do it… but I said a few weeks ago I was waiting until I hit 2nd trimester, and I haven’t done anything but join this forum and think of names…. So I guess if your crazy, I wish I was crazy…
