Am I crazy to be separating them now?

DH and I decided it was time for our twins to have their own rooms. They are 4 and have been sharing a room since they were born. I thought it was time they had their own space and rooms decorated with what they like.
DH is working on painting one of our guest bedrooms blue and this will be DS's new room.
DD is excited about painting her room pink.
Even though they are excited I just have a feeling bed time in their own rooms is going to be very hard.
Anyone care to share any experiences with separating B/G twins at a later age?

We seperated ours at 12 months. So, no advice...just wanted to say good luck. :hug: AND..no, I don't think your crazy. I think they will appreciate their own space.

Agree, we did it at 12 months as well, but after a small adjustment I agree they'll love to have their own room as well!

 

We separated ours at 3. I basically didn't give them a choice. My words and attitude conveyed that this is what happens now and how great it was so it was never an issue. We still do the routine together as a group then they go to their separate beds to get tucked in. No problem!
