My twins are 6 mo old and sleeping 11-12 hours, most of the time. My DS often wakes up though at 4 or 5. We normally get up and start the day at 6 am, as they go to bed at 6 pm. Is it okay to just let him lay there for that hour/hour and a half? Do you guys do this? He is not crying and in fact, it seems like he's having a good ole time.

Yes, my daughter tends to wake up about an hour before her brother. We start our day at 8 am...I go into their room about 7:45 to get them dressed and such with the first bottle at 8-8:15 or so. She wakes around 6:30-7:00 and just babbles and crawls around in there. I found that some days she falls back asleep, but some days she just hangs out. Her brother is usually asleep until right when I go into the room. It has worked out well for us.

As long as he's happy and not fussy I don't think its a problem. My girls wake up between 6 and 7am. I get up a little before 7, hop in the shower and then go get them around 7:20-7:30. They usually sound like they are having the BEST time in the mornings together. They play, hold hands thru the bars, 'talk.' If they are crying I go in earlier and see whats wrong, but otherwise they play and wait until I'm done getting ready for the day.

We usually just let ours chilll in their cribs until we are ready to go in ... We'll hear them anywhere between 6-7am ... and usually go in around 7am to start the day... sometimes we will sneak her out early if she is being really loud, and her brother is still asleep. There have been many times where he is still sleeping, and I catch her standing up at his end of the crib, leaning over and "yelling" at him while he's sleeping. haha.

Ana does this to Meara too! Ana is our 'early riser' while Meara is like DH and me- she likes to 'sleep in'!

Yes I do this all the time I will hear them having the most fun then. they are so happy when they get up on their oqwn in the morning. Sometimes it is hard to sleep through the squeals, and laughter. I think it is their bonding time. It seems like DD will stay quiet and not wake her brother, but Ds is the opposite, he is loud but she will sleep through it.

I looooove to hear them talk in the morning! I leave them in there until they start fussing, or until I get out of the shower, whatever comes first!

I don't think it's a problem at all! My ds used to sit in his crib for up to an hour and just talk, talk, talk! Enjoy it, it's so sweet!!!

we do this, too, esp. with DD who sometimes will drift in and out of sleep. DS tends to stay awake once he's "up". as long as they don't fuss, i leave them till 7 am to go give them their bottle

Ian does this to Abby all the time - if he wakes up first he stands up and starts yelling her name till she wakes up (usually quite irritated!) but she'll just yammer on in her crib and leave her brother alone!

Definitely! My girls usually wake in the morning and talk for quite a while before I go in to get them. I think it's great that they are able to keep themselves busy for a little while.
