My b/g twins will be 8 weeks this Friday and I was wondering if all of you swaddle your twins like a burrito? I wasn't fully swaddling (only from the chest down..leaving the arms out) for the past 3 weeks because my girl was so acitve and she was wiggling her little arms right out of her swaddle. So I talked with a lady who swears by swaddling and she says you should double wrap them so they can't get out of it. And she mentioned that the babies will sleep longer too. So I tried it last night with a double blanket and they both slept for 4 hrs and woke up for a feeding and went down for another 4 hrs. Yayy!! I think this is good for them at 8 weeks, right??

So do you ladies swaddle your babies tight like this too?? And how many hours are your 8 week old babies sleeping?

    Thanks for your help!

I swear by swaddling and I will do until they are 6 months if I can!

are my girls the only ones that refuse to be swaddled? from the very beginning, they'd bust their arms out right after being put down, and even now, when we try to put a blanket on them, they kick them off right away! and the sleep all spread out (just like their mom and dad haha). are they the only ones? i wish i could swaddle them at times...

We swaddled until about 12 weeks when they learned how to get out (up thru the neck hole of their sleepers!!!). They definitely slept more soundly because their wild arms didn't keep waking them up. We always just used a receiving blanket since they were too small for the swaddle me's and miracle blankets we received as gifts. As for sleep, we were still feeding every 3 hours around the clock at 8 weeks as per our pedi's instructions since they were small and early.

I loved swaddling my girls. It worked great. I used the Halo sleep sack swaddlers for the first month and then just swaddled with blankets after that. I don't remember when we stopped but now they just sleep in sleep sacks and do just fine!Glad you found something that works for you!

Have you tried the miracle blanket. They are a little confusing at first, but they are worth every penny!

No, my boys refuse to be swaddled as well. They will let us swaddle their legs, but they got mad when we did their arms. Mine sleep about 4 hours at night and they are 8 weeks tomorrow.
