Almost 34 weeks and 3cm dialated and 90% effaced

I went into PTL twice already. Once at 30 weeks and again at 32 weeks. After several days in the hospital I am back at home on bed rest. At 30 weeks I went for an appointment with my OB who did an internal exam and said I was 1-2cm and 50%, I lost my mucus plug exactly a week ago and called my OB so he sent me to the hospital for monitoring and I went into labor again. As of last week I was 3cm and 90% effaced. I am still losing parts of my plug and having tons of sometimes irregular and sometimes regular contractions everyday. I take Procardia and right now its seems to be helping to stop the regular contractions. I have another appointment on Friday, hopefully there hasn't been any change in my cervix. My OB says it could be any day from today to weeks from now. Anyone else dialated? and if so, what does your OB say?

i was 5cm dilated at 34 wks, went to hospital next weekend dilated to a 6. now i am 36 weeks and still a 6 (not on bedrest, but not doing very much). my dr. said women can stay dilated even to an 8 for several days or weeks before true labor. good luck, even if born now your babies should be healthy

 

I was a fingertip at 31 weeks, 2 cm at 32 and 33 weeks, 3 cm at 34 and 35 weeks, 4 cm at 36 and 37 weeks, 4 1/2 cm when I was induced at 38w2d. Although I never went into preterm labor ... it could be another 1 or 2 weeks. Hang in there. You made it until 34 weeks, that's great!

 

I was dilated to a one almost two weeks ago. My Dr. isn't worried...don't know if I'm effaced or not? He expects me to make it to 34-35 weeks and then will not try to stop labor. So, I think you are right on track!

 

I have no idea and I won't til 36wks unless I start contracting on my own. Also, my OB stops labor up til 36wks.
