I can barely sleep any more because of the back pain. I have tried sleeping with my Snoogle and it doesn't help. I currently sleep with one pillow under my head, one between my legs, one supporting my back and a wedge under my belly. It starts out ok, but by 4-5 am I can't sleep any more because my back hurts so bad. :( Going to bed earlier just means I am awake from back pain earlier.

I've tried my recliner, but sitting in it -- even when fullt reclined -- puts too much pressure on my cervix and I contract too much. Other than that, I am out of ideas.

I would so love to sleep more comfortably, but can't find a way to do it! Any ideas?

:hug99: I so remember how bad that was! We got a new mattress, and that helped a lot. Towards the end I was sleeping lik the Elephant Man, propped up with 3 giant body pillows (Target on sale, $7)

    It's hard, I'm sorry!

Unfortunately, we just bought a new bed when I was newly pg (knowing we'd want a bigger one for when all the kids want to be in bed with us ) so I cna't get another new one. But come to think of it, our OLD bed is in our office downstairs -- I should try it and see if it helps me. :)

How about putting some sort of mattress topper on your bed like a memory foam mattress pad or something like that? I got a cheap one on sale at Target and it helped for a few nights.....some nights there is just nothing I can do about it though, I itch and my back hurts like crazy some nights.

I was so uncomfortable too and felt like all I did was flip from side to side all night long. We did get a memory foam for our mattress and it helped for awhile, but then it all came back. Sorry you are so uncomfortable. :hug99:

I have had back pain for years as a result of a car accident in my early twenties, that could only be alleviated by sleeping on a firm mattress tummy-down. Obviously, twin pregnancy has sent that sleeping position off into the far distant future!!!

I noticed that all those body pillows I use to support my knees, back, hips, belly, etc are kind of propping my body up too high, and I'd start having back pain again, so I now sleep with two pillows under my head, and that helps a lot! (even if it does take some getting used to!)

Maybe you need to prop your head up a little bit too?

Oh honey, I totally hear you on this one! I feel like my pillows are like building blocks, and some nights I have to build new structures with them all night long. Sometimes I throw in one of those "husband" pillows, too, you know, the kind from college days.

I got a memory foam topper, and it really helped. I had terrible pregnancy related carpal tunnel syndrom, and over time, it mostly has gone away, mainly from that change, I think.

I have no suggestions, but I'm right there with you. Plus every time I turn I feel like my groin is splitting in two. :hug99:

I am right there with you in regards to back pain. I use the snoogle and it does help somewhat. My OB recommended seeing a chiropractor, which has helped me ALOT! I was doing decent with the back pain until I fell down the steps this week (my butt hit every step, that is what I get for being a total klutz!)...so now the chiropractor has to work that out. Stupid steps!

:hug99: I always slept with the snoogle behind my back because it was firm, with the curved part under my head and then another pillow on top of that to keep my head propped up then a regular body pillow under my belly and along the whole front of me with an extra pillow between my knees. I would pretty much sleep leaning against the pillow behind me so it felt like I was sleeping on my back but without the pressure. I couldn't sleep on my side at all it would hurt everything, I think because my belly was growing sideways at that point.
