The huge thing I was dreading about my dd starting school in 2 and a half weeks was packing lunches everyday!!! All of your great luch suggestions are going to make this transition much much easier!!

NOW, on to the next challenge! HOW DO I GET 3 KIDS OUT OF THE DOOR AND IN THE CAR BY 7:30 IN THE MORNINGS?!?!?!?!? I need a routine!!!! I know I will have to pack lunch the night before, but what other suggestions might you have. What do you fed them for breakfast and what time do you put them to bed. My 2 year olds go down at 7 and wake about 8 currently, if they go down much earlier, they will never get to see daddy, but I know this is going to have to happen. My 5 year old still takes a nap about every other day. AND goes to bed at 8 and wakes at 7. This may still work, if she dresses herself and takes initiative in the mornings. But I do not think I can count on that. But I feel if I start her day too early, then she will be wiped out by the afternoon class periods. ANY SUGGESTIONS THAT HELPED ALL OF YOU? She will be going from 8-3 and the school is about 20 minutes away. We were really excited when she got into this school but now I am questioning that decision!!! LOL! I will nt be changing though!! :)

I don't know about getting that many up and about, but does her school do naptime/quiet time in the afternoons? It was required here that all full day K classes have a 1 hr rest period. Some kids sleep, some just rest, but they all had to be still and quiet.

I'd move back your 5 year old's bedtime to 7:30 and get her up at 6:30 in the morning. She'll need time to wake right up and she needs a good breakfast for a full day of school. Let the 2 year olds sleep until you absolutely have to get them up and into their car seats. Don't worry about breakfast for them until you get back home (although a sippy cup in the car, if you allow that, wouldn't be a bad idea).

We have the same problem except all three of mine will be going to school. The twins start pre-k this year and Caitlyn will be in 2nd. Caitlyn can do everything for herself but Brianne and Hayley always seem to need mommy for something. Some morning they tell me they can't dress themselves or they don't know how to brush their teeth. Brianne is the worst for this.

I have to take the twins to their classroom but Caitlyn can eat breakfast at school. I am not sure what I will do for breakfast for the twins. Maybe cereal while I am in the shower. We do that on Sunday morning before church.

One thing I will be trying to do is have all clothes laid out the night before.

I agree with Renee's suggestion of moving your 5 year olds bedtime to 7:30. If she can get up just a tad earlier, you can feed her well. Sometimes in a pinch on school days, we do cheese sticks or go-gurts since they can eat them fast and are protein which will fill them faster. The younger two I would just get them in the car with a drink (milk if they will drink it) and maybe a ziplock bag of fruit (blueberries or something small) to hold them over until you get back home and can feed them something more. Best of luck. I am still trying to figure out all the times for waking and what to do with my younger one as well.
