For anyone who has a baby on Alimentum, can you tell me how long it was after you switched you saw a difference in your baby ?
    Thanks

Depends on why you are switching. For my twin boys they had different reasons for needing it. One twin was really for lack of a better word dazed and confused and they thought he wasn't digesting the milk protein. He wasn't interactive at all and he had tons of troubles with constipation. For him after about a month of the alimentum it was like someone turned a light switch on and he woke up. It also helped him be more regular with his poops and I never had to give him another supp again. The other twin was puking and pooping non stop! After about a week it started to improve but probably took a two weeks or so and he has a much happier baby. They were on it until they were 16 months with no more problems since. Best of luck

We did a trial of Alimentum with DS because we thought he had a milk protein allergy (he did not) but we didn't notice a change. In fact, the only change we did notice was that he got incredibly gassy which was almost worse than the initial problem. When I mentioned this to the Dr, she was like "oh yeah, formula can give them awful gas". Just something to think about. We were supposed to notice a difference within a week though, just fyi.

I would say it was almost immediate for us. Definitely within the first 24 hours. GL!

We put one of our girls on it because of reflux (she had already been on zantac) and really horrible painful gas, after trying similac advance and isomil. We saw a difference within the first 24 hours. It probably took a week or so for the full benefit. She stayed on it until around 6 months when we were able to switch her onto similac sensitive, like her sister.

It was totally the ticket for us! Good luck!

We saw a difference in the 1st few days and a better difference after a week or two
