Oh my word.....my babies have been crying all day. I've been able to settle them down on occasion for 20 minutes or so, only to start the cycle of screaming their heads off all over again---both of them!! It's my 30th birthday today, my dh is at school, and I'm all alone with screaming babies. I finally just put them in a crib in the nursery and shut the door. I have no idea what else to do for them, but my nerves are shot and I can't do anything else for them!! I'm out of ideas. and patience. ay-yi-yi. thanks for letting me vent.

Oh, Reyna, your babies are about 6 weeks old, right? That's the PEAK of fussiness. The only thing I can say (and I know it doesn't help today) is that IT DOESN'T LAST FOREVER. I used to think I would lose my mind, especially with Evan who cried almost constantly from birth to 10 weeks old! But now, at 13 weeks, we're cruising, comparatively speaking (knock on wood, fingers crossed). You'll get there. In the mean time do WHATEVER it takes to get through and remember that there has never been a baby die from crying.

Awww Reyna! I am sorry you are not having a good day. I agree that you are in the worst of the "fussies", or "screamies", in your case!! Take a break and eat something bad for you. You are allowed, it's your birthday!! :)

Reyna, you absolutely did the right thing. I can't imagine what else to do either and I still do it now (my guys are pretty fussy for 11 month olds). I know where you are though. :hug99: It just takes all your patience and and nerves some days to keep it together.

It will get easier though. 1 month is really tough time and they feed off each other when they are crying. :(

:birthday: I hope that today will be better, and that you were able to do something nice on your birthday. You deserve it, the first weeks with new ones are so stressful! :hug99:

Happy Birthday Reyna! Sometimes babies just need to cry and there isn't anything we can do. Putting them in their room was a good idea. I'm always reminding myself that a little crying won't hurt them. Its tough though to listen to it. -Leighann
