Ahhh the sound of silence....

Don't know if I mentioned this before, but besides Dh I'm all alone here in the States. Both our families are overseas. So raising the twins is ALL go 24/7...Dh gets his break when he works, but mine only comes during the weekend (only for a couple of hours when I go to the shops).

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that after a week of 'sick' kids I am totally knackered today! All I feel like doing is climbing into bed & pulling the covers over my head & sleeping for hours...I actually shed a couple of tears when Dh left for work this morning...and that only happens when I'm totally exhausted!

This morning the twins were so BUSY...they woke up at 6am & only went down for their nap now..10am! The silence is actually deafening...

I think I'll go lie down too....

Enjoy your quiet time. Although both of our families are in the country, they are very very far away. We are in FLA and they are in OH. It is a drag to not have any "free" baby sitting or even just some visitors or a little help. I am in envy of my sister who lives in the same little suburb as my parents and just drops her little one off when she pleases.

Raising twins is difficult, doing it without family nearby is, at times, nearly impossible! Way to go mom, you are doing it!!!!

Yes, most days it's easy. But there are those days when it's a little overwhelming to say the least..

I managed to get a 1/2 hr downtime...

They're still napping, but soon they'll be awake & all go!

Yeah, we all are doing a great job!

God doesnt give you more than you can handle...(I always quote this to myself)...

 

I hope your silence was wonderful! I miss that noise . . . only hear it after bedtime (no naps here). Silence is definatly pure bliss.

 

what is "silence"???
