After which week do they stop adjusting ages?

What week would a baby have to be born, so that they wouldn't adjust ages?

 

If your asking what i think, i know they didn't at week 38 with my DD, but they did for the first few months or so with my DS at week 35.

 

It really depends on the doc but usually they do not adjust at 36 weeks and usually do at 35 weeks so somewhere in between.

 

I agree that it depends on the docs and the state of the baby at birth. My girls were 35 weeks, but they both were breathing on their own, were over 5 pounds and didn't need any special care, so the attending pedis told me they were NOT premature (even though I was only pregnant for 35 weeks.)

 

I would say probably 36 weeks is when they would not adjust the the age.

 

Mine were born at 37 weeks and the ped never really adjusted ages -- he did tell us to be aware that they might hit some of the early milestones at their gestational age rather than their birth age, but even that effect was gone by about 4 months.

 

mine were born at 36w at under 5 lbs but the pedi never adjusted their ages

 

My daughter was 35w5d and 5lbs 10oz. The Dr.'s never adjusted her age. I was told as long as her weight was on the chart she was fine. I believe the weight cut off is 5lbs exactly.
