I just gave birth to my twins 5 days ago, and my stumach/abdominal area is still so sore! When I am standing or walking it almost feels hard to breathe. My widwife says its just because I was so stretched with the twins that my organs and everything are still going back into place. Did anybody else have this? I feel like my recovery is taking WAY longer than it did with DD. I understnad this time I had twins instead of one baby, but I am ready to fell good!

i didnt feel "normal" for about 6 weeks. i was on bedrest for 6 weeks before i delivered so my legs hurt too since i hadnt been using those muscles for awhile. hopefully youre back to your old self in no time! rest up and enjoy the honeymoon stage!

I felt the same way at first...try one of those post partum support belts if you can. My DH went out and bought me one b/c I complained that it felt like everything inside felt loose. It really helped. I only wore it for about a week, but it made moving around a lot more comfortable while I was healing.

    Congrats on your babies!

Yes, I felt sore for a few weeks and the skin was so loose too. It will slowly go back to normal but for me it took about a year.

After about a week I started to feel pretty normal. After 3 about weeks I felt 100x better.

    I still don't feel normal!

Right after my belly felt weird and my back- it was sooooo sore! I think it was from the way I had been standing for 8 months. I think it was because my ab muscles were so weak. It will take awhile, but you will feel more normal each day.

    Congrats!

I also wore a postpartum support belt for the first 2-3 weeks - it really helped. Even with it, I was walking around very slowly beacuse I felt like everything was moving around so much!
