I have read in places that Aflac can be a great financial resource if put on bedrest, and after the babies are born. I went to the website, but I dont know which policy to request information on. Do you know if you can sign up while pregnant or is this something you would need to be on prior to getting pregnant? Appreciate any feedback you may have.

    Thanks!!

My aflac reps told me I had to do it before I was pregnant. Hopefully yours will tell you something diffrent.

I was also told you needed to have the policy before pregnancy and not be actively ttc or going through fertility treatments like we were. I was also told that it would cover medically ordered bedrest during pregnancy, but not maternity leave after the babies were born. I am not sure if that is just here in Michigan or with all policies. I hope you have better luck finding a policy than I did.

I have Aflac and I used it for maternity leave. You have to have the policy BEFORE you get pregnant. There was a two week "waiting period" before my benefits began to pay.

I have had Aflac for many years now and LOVE it. I have an accident and cancer policy on myself and dh. Dh has gotten tick bites and gone to the dr........a few weeks after I file the paperwork I get a check for $120! Yeah! And that isn't for missing any work!

I think you have to have it before you are pregnant. I was lucky I did. I also had an intensive care policy that was wonderful with two babies in the NICU for 55 days.
