I was pumping for two months when my supply went out the door when the girls were in the hospital for RSV. I tried to bring it back but it didn't work (plus Julia still really didn't latch at that point). I add that comment because I know bf can cause you to not have a period.

Anyway, I have had AF only once since the girls were born at the end of January. Is that normal?

    Hey Kel,
Ya. I think it's okay. I half as* breastfed for 3 weeks and mine came back like 2 mos after that. So.. I wouldn't worry UNLESS you think you could be pregnant... then I might :)

If it's not back in 2 mos, that might be weird.

    I'm not sure tho.

Hmmm, are you still pumping now or nursing again? I wonder if that would stop AF from coming on?

Are you having any pregnancy symptoms? I might test, just to be on the safe side.

I would call your OB/GYN and ask. It can take awhile for your hormone levels to get back to normal and for AF to come back, but only you and your doctor know your specific situation. GL.

I'm wondering the same thing myself! I know that the girls are only 3 1/2 months but I havent yet got AF...but the odd thing is im getting all the symptoms like its trying to come so I took a test to be on the safe side and it was neg! lol I think my hormones are just trying to regulate themselves as well because i too breastfeed for 2months and stopped last month. Good luck.

I went on the IUD at 6 weeks and it took awhile to get my period.
Maybe you should take a test to make sure?

OMG. Reading "I think you should test" nearly made my heart stop.

Especially since DH and I have "done the deed" ONCE in a year! The one time was right after AF as I use to know my body and ovulated late in the cycle. Plus we used protection. I know, I know it doesn't always work but goodness.

I don't think ever in my life have I WANTED AF to show up.

It's unlikely that you are, but nothing is impossible! :hug99:
