Advice to stop a screaming child

    Our son suddenly started screaming VERY LOUDLY. He is a smart kid, and probably knows much of what we discuss, so every time he screamed we would tell him to scream LOUDER. We would say, "We can't hear you, would you please scream LOUDER!" or words to that effect. Well, being the smart kid that he is, he realized that he couldn't scream as loud as we wanted him to, so he stopped screaming completely. Worked great!

    That is interesting, I will have to try that and see if it has the same effect around here.
