Hey all! So I am starting to look at double strollers. I have a baby trend sit n stand right now for my 2 and 3 yr old however my 3yr is getting heavy for it but I dont know if I can use it for the twins. If it holds two carseats. I dont beieve it does....It has one attachment for the carseat on the front but thats it..I dont have the brochure either....and I did a little research but not finding the info I want..

Please tell me what carseats and stroller you are using! thanks!!

I was having the same concern. I wanted a good in-line dbl stroller where both seats could have a car seat attached. Many strollers I looked at were able to attach just one car seat.

My buddy, who has 1 1/2 yr old twins, told me about the Graco Duoglider XL. It holds 2 Snugride 32 Infant Car Seats.

It holds 2 infant car seats, and he said mist side by side strollers will fit through 90% of places...there is always those few time that you would wished you had an in-line one.

Plus...it was near the top of the list with double strollers through Consumer Reports...and I ALWAYS bump my choices off that list before I buy.

I had the Graco Duo Glider for the first 11 months and loved it. I now have a side-by-side because in the in-line stroller, the boy in the back would kick or pull hair on the boy in the front. The side-by-side is good, but you do realize quickly if a building isn't handicapped accessible. I manage to jam the stroller into a few doorways.

I was wondering what time frame it would take for that to happen. Ha

Yeah, while infants, we are gonna use the Duo Glider, then get a side by side when they don't need to be in their snugrides anymore.

I also saw that the Graco Quattro had the same accomodations (for 2 snugride 32 seats)

I had the Graco Quattro Duo stroller and the Graco SafeSeat infant seats (can be used up to 30lbs!).
It was a beast of a stroller, but worked WONDERFUL & was easy to use out & about :good:

Once my girls turned about 8-9 months old I switched to a SBS stroller, the Combi Twin Savvy & I love & still use it.

I did end up selling my Quattro for $100 at a garage sale, so it held up it's value pretty well. I think I could have got more had I posted on Craigslist - but good thing to know for future!

You can always sell it later when you are ready for a different one :good:

So you would suggest the Graco SafeSeat Infant Seats? Instead of the Snugride 32?

The Snugride 32 wasn't available when I got my SafeSeats in 2007 :(

I *think* that the Snugride 32 is eventually going to phase out the SafeSeat, so I would stick with the Snugride 32 :good:

I have the baby trend double snap n go, with graco snugride car seats, not the 32 though, heard they were too big for this..

Then I have a sbs maclaren that I love, okay so we haven't used yet but I am excited to use!

We actually have the baby trend double snap and go, mainly cause we got a great deal on Craigslist. However we were going to go w/ the Baby Trend Sit and Stand DOUBLE. http://babytrend.com/sit_n_stand_double/. It holds 2 infant carseats instead of just one like the one you already have. However, as they get older the back seat does come off just like yours and one can sit towards you or stand. As you probably know you don't necessarily have to use the baby trend carseats, it does hold others, not sure which ones.

Everyone on my local twins club swears by the Graco snap-n-go for the first 4-6 months while they are in the carriers. It's so much lighter and folds so much smaller than the duo glider. Then you can graduate to a sleeker stroller that doesn't have to accomodate infant carriers.

I'm planning to go with the snap-n-go for the infant stage, and then try the Phil and Teds when they're older. I may also get a side-by-side umbrella style for variety -- maybe Maclaren, Combi, or Jeep. Craigslist rocks!

Do those hold 2 infant seats? If so, which kind. I want to explore my options, but only those that hold 2 infant car seats at once

I'll cast my vote for the Baby Trend Snap-n-Go. I couldn't have lived without it! It was easy and convenient to just lift the car seats out of the car and snap them in place. I honestly didn't ever want them to grow out of it.

Now I use the Combi Twin Savvy side-by-side, and I LOVE it too!

After the "snap and go" phase, everyone i know who has 2 (not necessarily twins) uses the Baby Jogger City Mini Double...it turns like a dream and you can easily push it one-handed! A friend who has twins used the Maclaren Double and the Peg Aria and neither were as good as the City Mini Double.

    Good luck!

We bought the baby trend snap and go but have now decided to go with the graco duoglider. Our other dd will be 15 months when the twins come so we wanted something we could use with her too and "wear" one of the twins so we decided to go with that one since it has actually has seats LOL.

We had a quattro tour and safe seat (which I do believe is the older equivalent to the new snugride 32) before with our singleton and we actually went with regular old snugrides this time. We found that the safeseat was way too big and heavier and never fit anywhere like in a booth or in a shopping cart properly. DD outgrew the carrier before the weight limit anyway as her little feet were touching the back seat. (I thought that the dou gliders only fit one safeseat or snugride 32 or 2 regular snugrides but the new quattro tours fit 2 of either, I could be wrong on that though.)

I also looked at the Joovy big Caboose and after seeing an older child sitting in the back jumpseat part decided against it (plus our dd will be too young for that anyway). It looked terribly unconfortable for the little one back there and the mom had said she had actually fallen forward a few times. It would be better if there was a safety system that you could buy to attach to it if the child were young enough to only sit back there. But the back seat position also made them have to hunch forward a bit so it really didn't look to comfortable.

Good luck with your choice, it took us a long time to finally decide!

We are thinking of getting this in triple when the twins are older and out of the carriers. Good to know it's worth the price.

I have honestly just given up on the stroller thing. I could not make a decision and decided to forego one for the first few months. First of all we will be in London for the first 6 months of their lives and I do not drive here so I dont really NEED a snap n go to move from carseats to stroller. By the time we move home to Texas the babies should be big enough for a real stroller and I can decide then. I think for the first few months when I will only want to get out of the house for air, then I will just get a reasonably priced pram style stroller (maybe borrow one)for one baby and carry the other on my chest.

I also went with the baby trend snap and go...it was cheap! I got it for only $84 at Babies R Us. Plus, it will hold various types of carriers and in my instance it will hold two different brands. When I had my son I had the Peg stroller/carrier combo and although it was a great stroller, I always felt it was too big. I put him in an umbrella stroller as soon as possible. The snap and go is so light that even at 36 weeks prego it's not too heavy for me to pick up.

The plan was to go with the combi side-by-side after they grow out of their carriers, however I think I might take a second look at the city mini. I looked at it at one point but dismissed it for some reason.

We are using the Graco Quattro Duo and Snugride car seats. We had the snugride seats with my older DD and loved it - so we stuck with them. We compared the Quattro Duo and the Duo Glider in the store - and they are very similar. The Quattro is a little smaller when folded up and just a little nicer. My friend has a Duo Glider and has no complaints. So far so good with the Quattro Duo, our girls are only a week old so time will tell. Good luck!

This was our setup as well. Loved the snugrides (I would not have wanted to carry them in infant seats up to 30 pounds anyway, and I think a LOT of kids are too long before they hit 30 pounds). Just a vote for the tandem stroller - we still use it occasionally, even now that they are out of infant carseats, because they fight in the SBS in stores. So, for us, that was a good choice over the snap n go. For a SBS, we have a BabyTrend jogger that we bought for around $200 that we love.

I loved the Baby Trend Snap n Go. It was so great for the first few months. Lightweight and easy to carry. It does NOT go over curbs or things like that very well though so if you will be doing a LOT of walking outdoors I woudlnt' get it.

after the girls grew out of that, we got the InStep Safari II double jogger and I LOVE it!! LOVE IT!

How long will the babies fit into the Baby Trend Double Snap n go? Once they're too big for the Snap n Go, are they big enough to fit into a side by side stroller without carriers? I'm trying to figure out the most economical thing to do: buy the snap n go and then a sbs stroller, or just buy the front to back stroller that fits carriers. My twins are due in Dec and I live in a very snowy area, so I'm not even sure how much I'd use a stroller in the first few months. I'm a first time parent with no baby experience, can you tell?! Ugh!

My twins aren't here yet...but since the snap 'n go uses your infant car seats that stroller should work until your kids outgrow those car seats! We are getting the snap 'n go and I am assuming that it will be our only stroller for the first six months or so and then we'll move on to a side by side more all terrain type stroller. As for when they can go into a side by side, that will depend on which one you buy. The Valco twin stroller that we are looking at has an almost completely flat recline on the seats so they say that it's suitable from birth. A lot of twin strollers seem to recline far enough to accommodate very small infants, even right from birth although that would depend on your comfort level.

I have both the SNG and the valco twin. I will use the valco twin for long walks in the neighborhood b/c it handles really well over rough terrain and then keep the SNG in the car for quick trips when I am driving.

I haven't used the snap and go but I have heard other parents say that it isn't the best for rougher terrain which could include a snowy winter since sometimes it's hard to push those darn strollers in that stuff LOL. We decided to go with the duoglider (the quattro tour doubles are nice too!) instead so that it was a bit better in rougher terrain (but we had a lot of other issues that made us choose that too). Hopefully someone can chime in on how these actually are in rough terrain and snow.

My babies are also due in the winter, but I know I'm going to want to get out of the house every now and then. I'm leaning toward the Graco Quattro Duo tandem initially. I think next summer I'll think about getting a SBS of some sort and use both, depending on the situation. I know that the tandem is going to come in handy to get in narrow doorways, like at my daughter's school. It will make life much easier when I need it to be!

I might get a smaller jogging stroller as a SBS, as long as it has a swivel front wheel -- that way it's good for anything outdoors, including walks or going to fairs, etc.
