Just a funny story I thought those expecting might enjoy. So we were watching TV in bed the other night & talking about how scared I am to give birth to 2 babies (vaginally). I said I can't imagine pushing the 2nd one out after just finishing with the 1st one. My DH lets me know that by the way he has some advice for me: I need to work on my breathing while pushing. He says my 2nd push with my DS wasn't that effective & I should have gotten a better breath (which he then demos for me). I am just listening & when he is done I ask him was it not good enough that he was out in less than 20mins & with only 3 pushes? I guess he wants these 2 out faster, if only men could have babies huh?

LOL I love the birthing advise from men. I usually tell my dh t come closer so I can show him something and he usually walks away!

If is he that good at it, I would suggest to my DH, should he ever tell me this, that he can carry and birth the next baby.

I'm sorry but your post really made me laugh. Maybe he should try to push one out and see how effective his breathing will be

:rotflmbo: are we married to the same guy?? kidding. mine is the same way- only he was dumb enough to say it DURING labor w/ my first- he kept telling me how ineffective my contractions were.

and he's gone so far as to tell me that it won't be that bad if baby B goes breech again because I'll already be stretched out from getting baby A out. I wish there was some way to transport that pain to them so they'd have a clue. of course, we'd probably never have sex again after that, then again- maybe that's not such a bad thing? LOL!

thanks for the chuckle, and for letting me know I'm not the only one w/ a dh like THAT! bless their hearts, they really think they're helping don't they!

LOL! My hubby was so freaked out during the pushing part that I think HE forgot how to breathe properly. :)
