    Hi,

I'm trying to get the nursery in order and I was hoping to get some advice on the best way to organize the babies clothes. My mom thinks I should hang up EVERYTHING, but I expect that we'll be blowing through onesies pretty quickly and that it will get very old pulling them off/putting them on hangers.

I have good amount of hanging space in the closet and just bought a dresser/changer with 3 drawers and two cabinets. It's from BRU dresser/changer

Anyone with good suggestions on how to best organize the clothes?!

    Thanks! Sarah

    PS I'm having b/g twins.

I put diapers, wipes and socks in the top drawer of the changing dresser. Oneies in the 2nd. Sleepers in the 3rd. All are in reach when changing my babies. I hang a good portion of the clothes so I can see them easier. Enjoy!!

I initially hung everything -- that way I could see at a glance what we had, so I would know what I still needed to buy. Once the babies were born, I kept all the onsies and jammies in the dresser/changing table, so I wouldn't have to leave a baby to get a fresh clothes, should an accident occur, "clothes" (pants & shirts) are still in the closet, as well as all of the next size, so I again, I can see at a glance what I've got, and keep an eye on if anything is approaching fitting. That how it is supposed to be. Really, all their clothes are pretty much kept in two laundry baskets -- clean & dirty. If I get the clean clothes folded and put away before it gets worn, its a miracle.

    pretty much ditto.

Onesies in top drawer. All "outfits" are hung in closet by size. I didn't wash any of the outfits just in case they don't wear them. I did wash onesies first though.

Hang everything? Oh my goodness, that's a lot of work! :D

We kept onesies and nightgowns in the to drawer, outfits in the lower drawers, and only hung the "nicer" outfits. I see yours has three drawers and two side doors. Here's my suggestion:

Top drawer: unisex onesies, diapers, wipes, diapering accessories (butt cream, etc.)
Middle drawer: Her onesies and nightgowns on the left, his on the right (or vice versa)
Botton drawer: Her sleepers on the left, his on the right

As for the door cabinets: Put her outfits on the left and his on the right. Does this make sense?

    We put
    top drawer - onesies
    middle drawer - non-onesie outfits
    bottom drawer - sleep clothes

The socks/bibs/shoes/other stuff that is unisex all have baskets on top of the dresser.

Diapers and stuff like that are on the changing table.

We hang up items that are the next size up since my two are seriously growing out of things so quickly, I've got 18 month stuff ready to go on hangers in the middle of the closet, then the bigger sizes towards the edges of the closet separated by gender.

We got two dressers and an omiore and hung up the onesies/dresses/outfits. They shared the omiore. I put socks/hats/shoes in one drawer, bath time stuff in one drawer(towels/wash cloths), bedtime stuff in one drawer(gowns/sleep sacks/ect.), and meal time in another (bibs/ect). Then in their own dressers i put 0-3 mo. in the top drawer, 3-6 in the second, 6-9 in the third drawer, and other stuff in the bottom drawer. Something that also helped a lot was was that I labeled what was in each drawer so DH and anyone else could easily find stuff.

I was kinda hesitant hanging up all their clothes but the onesies folded up in the drawer get messed up very easily. It seemed like every time I went in the drawer to get somehting they would all be unfolded. So I listened to DH and hung up everything. Actually I just got finished hanging up their clothes and it took only 5 minutes maybe. Not long at all.

ditto to this and we have the Diaper Dekor on top of the changing table with diapers and creams in it.

We have a one cabinet changer with 4 drawers (two small top drawers) and a 5 dresser chest. The cabinet in the changer is diapers on the top shelf and extra wipes, kleenex etc on the bottom shelf. Creams and stuff are out on the top in a basket. Top drawers are socks in one and all the little extras (booger sucker, thermometers, swabs) in the second. The second drawer of the changer is sleepers so they are in easy reach. This may change to onsies now that it's warmer though. The bottom drawer of the changer is extra changing table covers, sheets, boppy covers, etc because it's hard to reach by the floor.

The 5 drawer dresser has from top to bottom 1 - recieving blankets and burp cloths 2- pants (small to large, left to right) 3- onsies (small to large, left to right) 4 & 5 are more sleepers, bigger clothes, hats, bathing suits, and other misc outfits that I'm not crazy about.

Closet has two half bars. They are cute matchy outfits on top bar and cute single outfits on second bar. Bigger stuff to the wall where it's harder to see.

This has worked pretty well though I am shocked that they are only 5 months old and I already need to clean out the stuff that's too small again (for the second time!).

We have a six drawer dress/changing table. The top drawers are for diapers and accessories (bibs, burb clothes, hair bows, socks, shoes). The middle drawers are for jammies and onesies, and the bottom drawers are for outfits. I only hang up the dresses and nicer outfits. I also bought a 4 drawer rubbermaid container that I keep clothes in that don't fit them yet, blankets, extra toys, and misc. stuff. That rubbermaid thing I keep in the closet.

I have 2 drawers for each baby. Her socks, jammies, hats, etc., goes in top small drawer, his goes in the one below. All onesies and outfits go in bottom larger drawers. Hers in one, his in the other. I safety pin all socks, mittens and booties together so that they are always together, whether it is in the washer, dryer or drawer. I never have to worry about losing them. The only thing I hang up are fancy dresses or the really nice outfits. It takes a lot of time to have to put things in and get them out of the closet and off of hangers. Seems like a lot of work. It's no big deal with one baby, but with twins, you are going to want the quickest and easiest situations possible!

I have book shelves in my livingroom and I went out and started to baby proof my livingroom early. I have large wicker baskets on the bottom shelves in various shapes and sizes. One for just hats which is oval, a large one for toys, one for socks, jackets, one for pants, one for tops. It works great and I'm nearly babyproof.

I also have two large wicker chests that are stacked up on top of each other. I put their p.j.s in there. There is next to nothing in their bedroom closets but bigger sizes. I purchased XXX large ziplock bags and labelled them with sizes. When I find clothes that don't fit the girls it goes into the bag.
