Anyone know who carries Advent Calendars?? I found them online, but was hoping to just go pick one up tonite and not have to wait for shipping...

I wasn't really expecting to need to buy one till next year, but last night, my daughter came home from daycare saying, "I want to have christmas - tonight." ehhh.... :) "No honey, christmas isn't for 3 more weeks." So I figured now would be a good time to get one, to help them count down the days...

I went to Walmart the other day and asked about them and was told by a manager they do not carry them...Target has some but they call them "Countdown to Christmas" with no religious connection. I wasn't looking for a religious looking one, but just thought it odd how hard it was to find one. I eventually did at Wegman's a grocery store.
    Good luck!

The one I found says "Countdown to Christmas" also, but it has a nativity scene. The ones at Target just had random Santa looking cartoons, nothing religious. Just thought it was interesting. :acute:

I got mine from Hallmark...but I got it off season so it wasn't so expensive. I don't know how much you are wanting to spend, but it would have been worth the money even if it wasn't on sale. It's really nice and has magnetic figures that attached to a big cloth tree..I've had it for several years and its held up wonderfully. Here's what it looks like..Tree

    Google "advent calendar craft"

I printed one out of a santa and each day you add a cotton ball to his beard. It isn't my ideal one, but Im hoping to get a felt one after xmas on sale.

We picked up the chocolate kind at Aldi ($.99 each). I saw the durable kind with little drawers/pockets at JoAnn.

I have seen the chocolate ones at Trader Joes, Target, and the grocery store. A couple years ago i bought a cute wood one but it was a pain to find things to fit in the small boxes. Last year we got a Lego one and the boys loved it. we bought another one this year.
