add on to Dr. Luke post

    I was at the OB today and forgot to ask her about the supplement that Dr. Luke recommends. Did anyone else take it (calcium, magnesium/zinc 3 tablets 3x a day)?

    The only other thing I took besides the prenatal vitamin was extra folic acid.

    i did, because i was having crazy leg cramps - cleared it right up!

    I didn't take that form of calcium/mag, but I did take a product called Natural Calm and Cal/Mag. It always helped calm down my Braxton Hicks and those nasty leg cramps. Oh and it's really good for getting rid of headaches.

    Good to know because I just posted posted about painful aching legs too. I get pregnancy headaches as well. I am definately going to try it :) Thanks.

    I just took a regular prenatal. My OB was very dubious about other supplements and seemed to defer to the "don't take anything" opinion.

    I probably should have, though, because I had bad restless legs and occasional headaches during my pg. I actually started taking cal/mag at bedtime when my twins were about a year old and it really helped the legs (didn't notice any change with my headaches). When I was pg, I had no idea it could help with those things.
