Hey there. The last two days my hips have really been aching! I've also felt a little sore in the abdominal area. I'm 14 weeks, and I've had lots of bleeding complications in the last month, so my dh and I are a little sensitive about things. Does this sound normal, though? I want to believe it's just part of being pregnant. Thanks for any input.

I think this is the time when your hips start to spread and make more room. I understand worry as we had alot of that with this pregnancy.
When in doubt though.... call your doc or nurse on-call.

I completely agree about calling, always be on the safe side. I have to say though that I had BAD hip pain that started early and got a lot worse. One of the joys! :)

I had bleeding from about 11 - 15 weeks on and off. My hips also ache. It started at about 15 weeks. I cant walk to the shop without them aching for about an hour afterwards. I think it's normal growing pains of pregnancy. It's more sporadic now, they dont ache constantly anymore. I also get lower abdominal pain - stretching i'm guessing.
    Good luck with everything.

I will be 14 weeks tomorrow- and my hips have been hurting too- especially when I wake up in the middle of the night, guess it is my bodies way of saying change position- but like the others said- nothing wrong with calling the doc- they will give you more peace of mind than anyone!

Yep, my hips hurt early on too. I can barely make it through the store now without being uncomfortable toward the end. But, like the PP said, if it's really something you're worried about, it never hurts to call the OB. :)

With my DD, my hips began aching very very early - say 9 weeks, and it went on through the entire pregnancy. The pain was God awful, and Im sorry you have to tolerate this! Dr said it was normal loosening of ligaments.

My hips started hurting around 17 weeks -- mostly when I was lying down (the pain would wake me up every hour at night) or sitting still. It's normal, but it never hurts to call your doctor. I practically had my OB on speed dial. :)
