My dd got sick the day after Christmas. DS1 got sick the day before (vomiting). DD vomited once. They had a fever and then it was done. DS vomited again about 5 days later. DD was more emotional after she got sick and ever since the 26th, has complained about her tummy hurting. Also, her leg or arm hurting. On occasion I would give her tylenol to help before. When her tummy started to hurt more regularly, I'd ask her what she thought I could do and her answer was 'medicine.' I told her that it (tylenol) wouldn't help her tummy. So then she immediately said that her arm hurt. Nope. I didn't fall for that.
Because of her tummy hurting at least once a day, at varying times, I took her into the doctor yesterday (they squeezed me in and spent a good deal of time with me). All the tests came back normal. (blood, pee, stool)
She is waking up in the middle of the night (every night now) complaining that 'something' hurts. I have not slept much the last three nights, mostly because of this. I did end up giving her some tylenol last night, but she still kept waking up/staying awake crying.
What can I do? Last night she woke Evan (in a different room) because of this. Thanks!

Was one of the tests for strep throat? I'm not sure if it would show up in a blood test or not (although I'm sure they probably looked down her throat). Just saying that because kids cry about their tummies hurting when they have strep. Otherwise, it sounds like you don't have a physical reason for this behavior. How frustrating  . I have no answer, but I'm sorry it's happening.

Yes, I was thinking growing pains, but it has been EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and won't go away! I remember them growing up and mom rubbing my leg always helped. I need some sleep!

I was going to say growing pains also. We go through spurts of that all the time. Now after each time they want to see if they got taller.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one having this problem. Reagan does this EVERY single night too. Most of the time she says her toe hurts (but it's not always the same toe). Last night it was her knee. Another time it was her finger. It's SOOOOO annoying. I was up half of last night with Olivia (3 times) b/c she's teething and screams all night long (whole other story), then I get up with Reagan about her ache/pain. UGH!!!! Oh, this is even better...one night I hear her crying so I go in there and I'm like, "What's wrong now Reagan?" She's like, "Where's Morgan?" Ok, seriously, MOrgan was sleeping less than 4 feet from her...UGH!

I hope it gets better soon, for both of us!
