I've noticed over the past week or so that my feet/ankles have started swelling. Not anything to be concerned about, but I'm just not sure how to deal with it...lol! At this point, I was already on bedrest with the twins, so I didn't have the swelling from my feet being down all day, walking around and just being active in general.

    1. Any suggestions on socks to wear? I normally wear pants to work, so I wear trouser socks or like those ankle socks with the patterns on them. Well, my legs are starting to itch where the sock is not indenting into my legs and it's not pleasant.

    2. Shoes??? I don't know what to get anymore. My feet have gotten wider during this pregnancy and on top of the mild swelling that's starting, they are not comfortable anymore. Any suggestions? I normally wear either a pair of black or brown just flat shoes to work. I don't mess with heels...I'm too tall to make my pants look even shorter with heals. LOL!

When I was pregnant with twins, I had to go out and buy a new pair of shoes in a bigger size. I hated to do it, but they do still fit me after my pregnancy and I still use them. They were of good quality and something I'd wear again! Make sure to keep your feet up as much as possible, I think avoid salt and drink lots of water!! Did I mention drink LOTS of water? It will help! Good luck!

you work at BRU right?? Have you asked your job about maybe letting you sit down?? do they have a high stool for you to sit at behind the counter for at least part of your hours? you could put your feet up on a step stool and maybe that would help a bit. I'm just thinking that if you are on your feet a lot that could be making things worse too. I never dealt with much swelling during any of my pgs, so I'm not much help on how to get rid of it.... I think salt intake can cause the swelling to increase too.

I am bad about salt intake just b/c I pack my lunches and I end up with the frozen microwave stuff, etc...not the best thing to pack I'm sure as far as sodium goes. I'm pretty good about getting my water in too!

I could probably use a stool at BRU, it's not really to a point where I "need" to and most of my shifts are just 4-5 hours. My office job is not a big deal b/c I can normally just kick my feet up when I need to.

Wear panty hose or tights. The conpression will help with the swelling.
