My just turned 10 months old twins are almost as hard to deal with when they were just born. I thought this was suppose to get easier (not easy) as they got older?!!!

They are teething and I know they are in pain. They are always cranky and usually always crying, if not both at least one is. They aren't crawling yet, which is very annoying because they are getting so bored with just sitting on the floor or being in their jumperoo/activity center. They do roll all over the place. My girl scoots on her butt and goes backwards. My boy just rolls.

This stage is killing me. I keep trying to get them to crawl by putting them on their belly MANY times a day. I even push it until they just can't handle it anymore.

I try to do different things with them. I take them for walks, car rides, walk around the house. I am always interacting with them. I am running out of things to keep them happy. UGH UGH UGH!!!!!! :headbang:

I am at a loss. I know they are on the verge of many changes, I just wish it would happen sooner than later. Poor little guys.

Thanks for listening! Just needed to get it out. As usual I have a crying baby to attend to. Please send patience my way I need all I can get these days!

    HI there,

my little guys are the same age as yours, and even though they are crawling, they are fussy because they can stand up but not walk[IMG] .
What I find useful, when they get cranky is to put them in the swings in the garden, they love it. We had only bought one baby seat and ended up buying another one as they just love it so much, they will happily swing away for 20-25 minutes and look at the birds, then, I just let them explore the garden. I was worried that they would try to put grass, stones, bugs..in their mouths but so far so good. So maybe you could try that if the weather is nice? Also, sometimes i'll let them play in the piles of washed clothes, they have fun "diving" and hiding in there too!

Hang in there though, I know it's hard sometimes, but I am sure things will get easier for us soon... things have to get better soon, right?[IMG] !![IMG]

 I hope they get to crawling soon and those teeth come in! Just keep reminding yourself that it's just a phase and will quickly pass!

I know what you mean with the teething. For a few days around the time each tooth comes in they are just miserable. I feel for them, because they are in pain, but I also feel for myself because I have to put up with their moods. Hopefully it will get better for both of us. My two are 9 months old, one is crawling all over (has been for a month or more) and pulling up and starting to cruise a little on furniture, the other is mostly rolling but starting to crawl a little. The crawling/standing didn't make things easier! My little girl, who loves to stand, now keeps standing up in her crib, instead of taking naps. My boy who is working on crawling keeps getting stuck in the rungs of the crib. fun fun :(

    I hope things get easier,
    Roo

 Momma! It will get easier... I think! ;) My daughter will be 10 months old on the 10th, and she has just started crawling. However-she is quite the slow crawler....and she would rather stand! She is much happier standing against something than sitting on the floor. And she is teething as well, on top of being sick with croup. If you need to-go outside and take a deep breath. It will help!

When putting them on their bellies-do you put anything in front of them to get them to move towards it? I know we did that with Annabella and she would seem to move towards it-and eventually REALLY wanted those Cheerios! LOL! But in due time-they will do it. I remember Annabella was probably about 7/7.5 months old and she was rocking on all fours. I thought for sure she was going to crawl early. Nope-it took her two months to perfect that!

This too shall pass-and trust me-in a year-you'll be wishing it all back! But it can definitely be aggravating as you are living in the moment. And for teething-I know someone had mentioned somewhere before that she tried(not necessarily through this site) green onion with her kids-they just gnaw on it. I've never tried it, but figure it can't hurt.

I always put toys out of reach so they would be motivated to figure out how to get to it. Ryan army crawled for a few weeks, but Michael went from sitting to crawling well in 2 days, changes can happen very quickly. For pulling up I put stuff on the coffee table, again their curiosity got the best of them and they pulled up to check it out.
