We want to have our twins tested to see if they are ID (see attached pics-what is your opinion?) But, no one in our area does it. We would have to drive 4 hours to the nearest place that does that kind of testing. I have found some sites online that test, but I wonder how reliable they are. Please, anyone who had their twins tested, who did you use, how much did it cost, and were you satisfied with the service? Also, feel free to post pics of your babies, ID or frat. I love looking at all the cute babies!

I used ProactiveGenetics (advertised above). It was about $170 I think. They emailed me with the results and also sent me a letter. The letter specifically stated was DNA codes were tested (a bunch of scientific stuff that I did not understand) and confirmed with 99% accuracy that they were identical.

Here are two of my pictures (excuse the mess) - the top one they look identical and the bottom one they don't.

We did our testing through proactive genetics and it was simple and we had the results back in less than 2 weeks. I think it was $180. Seems like alot of money but it was well worth it. Mine are identical but they have different head shapes and people can usually see the difference.

Used proactive genetics - easy to do and fast. Probably cheaper then taking them somewhere. Mine are identical

We used Proactive Genetics as well ($170 total). Ours are fraternal, just so you don't think everyone gets ID results! They looked a lot alike when they were younger, just one was bigger, but now they are clearly frat, so in our case I'd say the results are reliable. I was just too impatient to wait and see. I wanted to know right away!

I've used proactive genetics to find out if my twin and I were identical. My sister also used them to test her twins. They're pretty inexpensive and reliable. I was very pleased with their services! Definitely have them tested- they will thank you for it when they're able to tell people with certainty what kind of twins they are (because this is the question they will get asked most often as they get older!) Good luck and keep us posted!!

We used proactive genetics too, super quick & easy and not terribly priced $165.

    Here are my girls.

Affiliated Genetics here (affiliatedgenetics.com). I was very satisfied with them and paid $160.
