Okay. So had a gender scan at 15 weeks and we are pretty sure it's a girl so OF COURSE i want to go NUTS buying clothes! loL. (I will keep receipt tho in case!)
The thing is, at Carter's, the Newborn is 5-8 lbs. I REALLLLLY bet my kid will be born larger than 8 lbs. Should I skip newborn and go to 0-3?? I hate to waste $ on too small of clothes!!

What do you guys think? And if the twins had been full term, they would've been about 10 lbs EACH!! So, I'm just saying.. I make 'em big!

I did not do newborn clothes for the boys and do not have any this time either.

My singleton's were 6 and 7 lbs each so newborn was fine for them for a while. That said, I never bought newborn because they just dont last long enough.

Annabella was 7 lbs 9 oz at birth...and I actually got some preemie stuff for her for the first week or two. I would buy a little newborn stuff, but not go crazy(as hard as it is).

I think even my under 7 lbs may have fit even Evan for a week or so and he was 10 lbs. Think. He did however go straight to size 1 diapers. The newborn one they squeezed him in initially was funny!

I would buy very very few newborn. Aaron was born at 7lbs and by the time we were even organized enough to dress him, he was 10 lbs.

My twins wore the newborn stuff for a long time. My singleton was 8 lb 12 oz so we went right to the 0-3 for him.

Can you borrow newborn stuff so you're not wasting your money buying it? That's what I did with my girls as I had no idea how big they would be and what they would fit into and for how long.

My singleton was 8lbs 6oz and had one newborn outfit that he wore home from the hospital and that was it. He moved into 0-3 months right away.

None of my kids ever wore newborn...not even the twins. My singletons were also pretty much born into size 2 diapers (they were 10.13 and 10.4). I'd maybe keep the outfit you're most in love with to have her wear home from the hospital and see if you can exchange the others for larger sizes.

It drives me crazy when clothes are too big so I always bought newborn, and even some preemie. That said, my kiddos are usually around 7 lbs and newborn will fit them for the first month or two. My kids tend to be long and lean though.

I would not buy newborn clothes. That's probably the size people will give you for gifts. I had so many newborn clothes that were given to me and my baby was born at 10 lbs.
