My parents took the kids yesterday afternoon until today!! ~ Getting a latte and relaxing on the couch with a novel and a candle going ... ~ Bartending until close without having to worry about lack of sleep the next day, and being "allowed" to have fun ... ~Sleeping in ... ~ Getting a Pumpkin Spice frappucino, some breakfast burritos, and chilling IN BED with the paper, the autumn breeze coming in the window and the silence of no crying babies ... PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I am soooo jealous!! I cannot wait for that day. We had tons of them with Emily, but I know how few they will be now with the twins. April
My in-laws were crazy enough to take my 4 year old and the twins for 4 days while we went to the mountains!!! As we drove away we were thinking...SUCKERS!! It was wonderful and they handled it beautifully!
Oooooh - and of course i had an extra smile because i used to work at MasterCard and worked on a lot of those commercials! Did someone say 'read the newspaper"? - ha, can't remember the last time i did that!
Oh how wonderful! I was right there with you - smelling the candle - pumpkin spice latte.... yummm. Good for you! Maybe it could be a regular thing???
Yeah for Grandmas!! Rachel left a few hours ago with my mom for the night Natalie has been asleep for 3 hours (1 is typical) & I have a college student coming soon to watch Hannah & Natalie while I have some Mommytime.
Oh, what a great day ... AND, DH watched the kids when he came home so I got to take a bubble bath!!! Then the power went out in our neighborhood for some reason, that was wierd. But what a great day. I highly recommend it to anyone, if you have people that can take your kids for even a few hours, WOW, does it make you feel like a whole new person!
Oh, BLISS! I have fantasies of curling up in a big nest of pillows with the new Harry Potter book and a big cup of coffee... Not gonna happen anytime soon, though. Not without a baby hanging off my boob, anyway. So happy for you that you got such a restorative break!
