Sorry to bother you ladies with this but I need some advice. Sooo....I literally pee a little on myself everytime I move. I wear pantyliners and change my undies about 10 times a day but sometimes when I'm out and about I can't always get to it right away. A few days ago I noticed where my boy shorts were kind of rubbing and chaffing on my leg right where my thigh meets my butt cheek. My undies were a little damp but I was on my way home so I thought I'll just change when I get there.

When I got home I changed and showered and thought it would surely go away. But now it's grown from just a little rub spot to like a huge zit. A boil almost. And it HURTS. I'm honestly not sure what to do about it. Will it go away on its own? I've tried rubbing baby powder on it to keep it from chaffing even more and I'm trying to wear really soft cotton pajamas so there's nothing abrasive on it. But DANG! I couldn't sleep last night because every time I moved it would just scream at me. And it's hard to walk.

Anybody else have anything like this?

yes, unfortunately i've had those before and they are basically boils/pimples. you definitely need to change the type of underwear you're wearing or the style or something so that it quits rubbing on that particular area. they will get more painful and tender til they start to drain. you can try warm moist compresses on the area to help it drain, but in the end, that's the solution. hope you're feeling better soon! make sure to wash the area with soap and water frequently too so that it doesn't get infected.

ugh! It's so painful! I'm really hoping it goes down soon. At least I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. :)

Do you have any other symptoms like a fever?

I am just popping in here but please get it checked out. I don't want to scare you but a friend of minen just had the exact same thing and it turned out to be MERSA. That doesn't mean you have it but better safe than sorry.

Also you could have a small leak in your bag of water. You might not really be "peeing" on yourself. Urine has a distinctive odor. Amniotic fluid has none. Pay attn to whether there is a scent or not.

I had an appointment with my regular family doc today for a cough that I've had for weeks. I asked him about it and he said he thinks it's just a boil. He put me on some antibiotics and told me to put moist heat on it and if it's not better in 5 to 7 days to come back. He said once it starts to drain it should feel better.

Also I don't think I'm leaking fluids...or at least I hope I'm not! lol My doc has been checking my cervix the last two weeks at my appointment. Surely she would have noticed leaking fluid? Right now I'm not dilated at all.

So an update on the "butt zit" (as my DH so lovingly and mockingly refers to it).....this morning I got out of the shower and sat down on my bed to dry off and when I stood up it had busted everywhere. Yes, gross I know. My bedspread is now ruined (I don't trust just washing it because of the off chance it was MRSA ... I worked as a nurse before I got preg so it makes me paranoid) but I don't care. RELIEF! It still hurts like a monkey but not nearly as bad.

However....here's my question. How should I cover this thing? For one I dont want it getting more infected. For two I don't want it leaking onto my girlie bits and infecting them. I thought maybe wrapping an ace bandage around my thigh to keep some gauze on? Anybody have any other suggestions?
