Hello new friends -- first post for me! I'm starting the Camino Frances from SJPDP in May. My husband didn't want me to walk alone, so I have different friends joining me for a week or two at various points along the way. However, the friend that is scheduled to walk from Logrono to Burgos with me has had a leg injury and doesn't think she can walk that far. My questions: should I discourage her from coming at all, or would that section still be fun even if she had to take a taxi each day? And is that an easy thing to arrange? Thanks.

I met a few folks last year who mixed walking with taxis when needed, and they still had amazing Camino experiences. Everyone finds their own pace and way to do it.

If your friend’s leg is giving her trouble, taking a taxi for that stretch isn’t a bad idea at all. It can actually be a nice way to rest and still enjoy the towns along the way without overdoing it. When dealing with transport like that, it’s usually pretty easy to arrange local rides, kind of like booking an airport transfer Southampton—you want something reliable and flexible.
