The kids got a gift cert to Walmart for $20 for their bday.......any suggestions what I should get? With gas prices going up & up, we've been staying home more.......but we desperately need some new things to do! I've always wanted to get them the Little People farm set, but I thought with summer coming up perhaps that won't keep them very entertained.

    Stomp rocket!

My girls played with this at their cousin's house recently, and DH insisted that we buy them one. (It was about $16.) They've taken it to a few parks so far, and always have a great time with it. It's great for little kids because it's easy to use, but they can't stomp very hard, so it doesn't go very far (i.e., less chasing and loss of rockets).

    Stomp rocket:

I will agree with one of the reviewers that the rockets seem pretty flimsy, but my BIL said although they have lost several on the garage roof, they haven't actually broken any. We have the "ultra" which is supposedly for ages 8 and up, but it works just the same as the "junior" version -- the rockets just fly a bit higher.

In fact we're going to a picnic tonight and one of the other moms just emailed me to make sure I was bringing the stomp rocket. :)

for 20$ I would divide it

-chalk/art supplies- my 2 can spend HOURS decorating a large cardboard box
    -sandbox
    -bubbles/bubble machine
-small plastic animals- they get aLOT of use in our house
    -inflatable pool
-small tee-ball set (12.99- we just got one)

    HTH!

Mega Bloks! You can get a big bag of them for less than $20. They are a GREAT toy! I got them when mine were young at the suggestion of our PT and they still love to play with them :)
