:p Well I will be 26 weeks pregnant on Thursday! and I found my 1st stretch mark yesterday on my left butt cheek LOL Ironically I thought my butt was the only thing not getting any bigger.

I really wondered how I would feel if I got stretch marks. I was very athletic as a child and I recently got out of the Army after 10 years of service. I didn't stress about it. I just wasn't sure if I would feel self conscious or disappointed.........SO LET ME TELL YOU I saw 3 little purple marks on my cheek and quickly called my husband in to see them. He said " my girls ARE Growing" I'm going to assume he's talking about my twins and not my butt cheeks!! I was elated, PROUD, excited!! It was proof ....as if my expanding belly wasn't enough.....that I am indeed PREGNANT with two beautiful little girls that are growing!! that are getting bigger everyday. It's my badge of honor that I'm finally going to be a momma.

So THANK YOU JESUS for my beautiful little stretch marks and please remember as your looking down on me that there is such a thing as
TOO much of a good thing! ;)

Awwwww that is the sweetest thing I have ever heard!!!! You know I have wondered the same thing about my strechmarks… not that I freak out or anything and well I am not as atheletic as you are and have some strechmarks on my legs.. well not the legs legs but I don’t know how to say it lol.. anyways… I had them b/c I was a little thicker in HS and lost lots of weight so I got them… they don’t bother me… but I have been thinking about how I will take it if I get them in my tummy and I think that they way ur taking it is such a sweet and awesome way to see it!!! Just wanted to say … you’ve made me look at strechmarks a totally diff. way than most ppl and thank you!!!

    Hugs …

I only got one little stretch mark (that just about completely faded) with DS...and I made it all the way to 33 weeks unscathed...but now they adorn my belly. Quite a few of them too! They aren't TOO dark, but they are certainly there. I thought I would be more upset about them...and don't get me wrong, I can't help but frown a little when I look in the mirror, but you know what? It's not like I'm going to be running around in a bikini anyway...my only issue is that I hate the idea of them being there when SOMEDAY I wear lingerie for DH again...hopefully they fade a lot. Not that he would care...but I would, you know?

I hear ya! We concieved our girls through IVF and it has been a long long road. I figure my husband can live with a few stretch marks. I guess we'll just have to invest in some lingerie with fringe or something LOL :D I'm hoping my body will be close to what it was before with lots of work of course. IF IT ISN't my husband better pretend it is.........especially since he hasn't gotten any since I was 16 WKS.

Way to keep a good attitude! I noticed my very first stretch marks about 3 days ago and i swear all the sudden i'm tiger striped on the bottom of my belly. They definitely sneak up on you! I've always been proud of my bikini body, but figured the fact that it took twins to give me stretch marks, i dont feel too bad. I managed to survive unscathed with my other kids and maybe its time to have the badges to prove motherhood.

    WOW--great attitude!!
My breasts were covered with stretchmarks with my first pregnancy (going from a B to DD does that I guess) and there were so many, you couldn't even tell they were there anymore, even after shrinking back to a B post-breatfeeding, but even though my thighs and hip area were also pretty well covered all around, my belly had avoided them until the last pregnancy and one had barely started above the belly button. Let's just say, I'm not even in the 3rd trimester of this twin pregnancy and the belly and bikini area will not be avoiding any more of those "battle marks of motherhood"......amazing how much our skin can stretch!!!! I just hope the muscles will do just as well and there won't be any tearing--is that possible?!?
BTW--DH has no problem with these battle marks--he's not perfect either and growing old together will definitely produce worse than these measly things :) so bring on the lingerie [or at least something other than a t-shirt]!! And I'm not gonna be showing off my body at the beach either, don't think it's appropriate, so they don't bother me too much!!
