I met a really nice couple at the pediatrition the other day. they had brought their 2 week old twin girls in for a check up, and I had all my kids w/ me (even though it was just an apt. for my 5yo DS, couldn't get a sitter). so I was sitting w/ the twins, and talking to this couple about twins. then I had to take my son back for his check up. well they got called back right after that, and were in the room next to us. so while my DS was getting weighed the mom came out and talked to me for another minute. she asked me if I had a double stroller, I said yes, but that I couldn't put car seats in it, and the front seat doesn't recline, so I have to wait till the twins can sit up b-4 I can really use it (I got it when I had my DS, and my DD was 2). then she told me she had 2 like the one she was using (a neighbor gave them the 2nd one), and asked me if I wanted it. I asked her if she was sure she didn't want it, she assured me she didn't need it, and told me to write down my name and # and they'd call me. I thought that was really sweet! so I gave her my #, and finished up the apt w/ DS. then on the way home I figured I'd better not get my hopes up too high just incase she had second thoughts later on and decided not to call. I couldn't blame her if she did change her mind. I was a complete stranger, and she didn't have to even talk to me, or offer me a $200 stroller at all! well over a week went by, and I figured she'd either changed her mind, lost my # or forgotten. oh well. I'd live w/o it anyway. we'd already made it this long huh?

well, yesterday I got a phone call from her DH asking when I'd be home so he could bring it by! so he came by in the afternoon and dropped it off. it's a graco duoglider that I can put their car seats on! I could go somewhere w/ my twins in a srtoller, and not have to carry them! my back will love that!

they're such nice people! I told him to have his wife call me any time if she wants to talk. I think it'd be nice to talk to someone in a very similar situation! her twins are also #'s 4 and 5, and her kids are 7, 5, and 2, and then the twins just like mine!! anyway, I know she's tired, and busy now w/ the girls, but it'd be kinda cool if she does end up calling. I don't know anyone in my area w/ twins under 2!

anyway wasn't that the nicest thing! just wanted to share my fun story.
