I didn't see the Disney forum so I'm sorry if I missed it. My week-away-from-turning-3 at the time of vacation twins and their 6 year old brother and all the family are going to Disney World! DH and I had bought a double sbs Combi because we loved how light it was and how it folds up. Now he is saying he doesn't want to take it because it is so big and won't fit in most shops. (true) He wants to use umbrella strollers. However that is too much sun. So I suggested getting a nicer set of strollers, like a Chicco umbrella that has a sun shade and even a small basket.
Is this crazy? There will be 4 adults and 3 kids, would we regret pushing 2 strollers around? The girls grab stuff off shelves like crazy and there would be so many people the big stroller seems like a bad idea. Have any of you split up your twins and used 2 strollers?

I would take the combi. My combi stroller has been to disney a bunch of times. One trip we did 2 umbrella strollers it was such a pain. Much harder to push. Not as comfortable. Handles were too low. Harder to get through the crowd with 2 strollers and not as much storage space.

I can't think of any place I had a problem fitting with the combi.

We brought our double SBS last April and didn't have any problems. A lot of stores are actually pretty roomy so it's possible to get in and around without a problem. I know a lot of folks do the two strollers and it works great for them. We thought about it, but in the end I'm glad we just had the one. It was easier that way for one parent to stay w/ the kids, or take the kids while the other parent ran in the bathroom, or got food, or ran ahead for fastpasses, get the kids on the tram in the parking lot while dad folded the one stroller, etc...

Whatever you do- have fun! I'm jealous! I REALLY want go back soon! :)

Thanks. You all make good arguments. Also someone told me that if everyone wants to go on a ride they can't go on, then there will only be one person with the girls in 2 strollers. THen they wouldn't be able to push the girls as easily if they wanted to go somewhere.

That is very true. I don't know where you are staying, but i found two umbrella strollers much harder on the tram then my combi. Same thing with the buses.

Take the Combi. We used it a bit when ours were smaller at Disney and had no issues getting into doors at all.

No problems w/ the Combi here either. SO much easier than our jogger!

Hi, We went to Disneyland a little over a year ago when the twins were not quite 3. We also have 2 children younger than the twins. We have a Combi double and a Chicco double. They were both perfect! I'm guessing Disney World to be consistent with Disneyland and they are family friendly so I had no problem with strollers wherever I went. I had to fold them up to get on the trams to parking lot and they were very helpful and it wasn't bad at all. My kids loved it! We plan on going back next fall. Have fun!
