Danika has discovered "mine" and uses it to great effect. <_< considering that Riley's favorite word is "no" (followed closely by "bubbles") i think we're in for a rough ride.

HA! At least Riley will be able to answer Danika when she uses her new favorite word. :p

My guy's new favorite word is...well, "guys". As in, we say "guys, guys, guys" with exasperation when they're having meltdowns, so they preempt us by yelling "guys, guys, guys" when they're about to have a meltdown!

:headbang: I was not thrilled when "mine" started in my house. Because then everything was "mine" :faint: Now the kids will just say in an annoyed voice, "Phia's! or Ukey's!!!"

My mil is the one who introduced "mine"... why would she do that? she was playing a game and holding a toy and saying "mine mine mine"... I'd just wondered why they were saying "mine" that week and then I heard her when we were at their house... I had to politely say that she could say "its grandma's" but not "mine"!!!

I'm sure they would have learned at some point... good luck. I've just tried to give them an alternative to saying it. I love that the other will be able to say "no"!

Thankfully we haven't dealt with "mine" yet! However I think I hear "no" at least 50 times a day!

I haven't heard "mine" yet, but one of my girls is starting to use, "no" and it is killing me! I tried so hard to not say "no", using rediculus phrases such as, "that is unacceptable" or "Danger!". I'm still trying to not say "no" in hopes that it will phase out, but I doubt it. The girl that says "no" also says, " I know" and knows how to use it too...I couldn't figure out where she got that from, until her Great Grandpa came over and she was gabbering away at him and he kept replying "i know", which might be better than my responses of "really?", "wow that sounds interesting"..
