We took the girls to there checkup yesterday and they did there PDQ screening and the girls were at an 8m 3w level (YAH!!) They also had super healthy checkups the pedi was so excited at well they are doing and how great they responded to everything, and there growth is nothing but an incline!!! I am so proud of my girls!

    Elly weighed in at 15lbs 13oz 25 3/4 inches

    Emma weighed in at 14lbs 10oz 25 1/2 inches

Also forgot to add, Emma pulled herself to a standing position for the first time the day before yesterday!!! She had been doing it none stop since!!!!

how big were your twins at this age?

Also a scarey thing happened with their shots...... The Dr told us at the beginnning that they were only going to get two shots so when it came time I took one of the girls out of the room while DF stayed in with the other (i can't handle shots, plus it makes them both cry) then we switched, well I didn't think to check there spots because I was too busy soothing them, well when our ten minute wait period was up I went to take off one of the girls bandades to check the spet and there were THREE bandades!!! THREE bandades and THREE shots!!! The Dr. said TWO.... well the reciptionist went to go get the nurse and came back and said I had to get the Dr. I was freaking out at this point.... anyway a minute later the Dr came and told us that they had given their 3rd Hep B shots it was a mistake but he said that there would be no side effects and they just wouldn't have to have it at a year..... Anyway I was relieved that it was nothing serious but still all I can keeo doing is being mad and thinking that what if it had been something else!!! Like what if they had doubled there DTaP or something.... I don't know it makes me not want to take them back there but up until this point I loved there pedi.....

    What would you all do????

Holy cow! That is scary. I would either switch peds or make sure that I asked a lot of questions and was in there for the next round of shots.
I can't remember weights  ...I think around 15lbs at 6 months...not sure on that one.

Sounds like they are doing great!

My peanuts were 14 lb 9 oz and 14 lb 4 oz at their 6 month last week.

    Tiny but totallyhealthy!

How scary about your shots!! My girlies had to get 4 shots but at least i knew that ahead of time! You better check next time they need shots!!

    Way to grow girls!!!

Personally, I would make sure I was in the room for all their shots from now on.

I would agree. I loved my old peds office, they were so careful about shots and how they gave them. I would also agree with the part of askign a lot of questions before it happens.

Way to go babies! :clapping: It sounds like they are doing great!

My grandsons were 16 # 7 oz and 17# 6 oz at their six month checkup. There were six weeks early and the smaller came home just over 4# and the larger at 5# even so we are thrilled with their weights. They're great feeders.

The shot mix up sounds distressing, but with the boys I know at their first innoculations they received four shots and the remaining appointments they have had three and the last time two. Now they are in the processing of taking the flu serum - it's taken orally and didn't involve a shot.

I get bent out of shape when I think anything is out of ordinary with the boys. They are our absolute heart and soul. I would have been truly upset to learn the pedi's office didn't check more thoroughly. I really don't like the shot thing either, but because I know the boys are going to be upset about the shots anyway I just bite the bullet and hold them and cuddle them and look the other way while the nurse gives the injection.

Mine at their 6 month appointment (which was just this last Tuesday so they were 6 months 3 weeks) weighed:

    Lucas: 14 lbs (24 1/4 in long)
    Jonas: 14 1/2 lbs (24 3/4 in long)

Doc said their fine...doing well on their curve and in the 10% range for weight/height for their age.

Like PP said, I would make sure you were in the room for all shots in the future, that way if there's a question, you're there.
