I have been taking blood pressure meds since having Addyson last April. My bp has been great, no problems. Get pregnant with the twins and everything is still going well.

Well, yesterday when I was at work I felt really light headed, clammy, dizzy, and out of it. I went to have the nurse at work check my bp and it was 140/100. Great! I called the doctor and let them know what was going on. I missed their call and didn't even noticed that anyone had called, so I called them back around 2pm and they wanted me to come in asap. They check my bp and urine, and my bp was 140/100 (still---5 hours later). No protein in the urine, which is a huge sigh of relief. The doctor came in and said "so you are throwing a curve ball at me, huh?" "No, doctor I'm fine. I swear." Well, he gave me a much higher bp med and instructed me to buy a bp monitor for home. I am to take my bp 3x a day for the next few days and call on Monday with all of my readings.

This morning after taking my meds, my bp was in the normal range. All of sudden I got that same feeling as yesterday, and thought I was going to pass out. I looked up some more information about the new medication I am on and it says that it could make you feel that way and it is normal to feel this way. It also says to lay down when feeling this way. Well, my last week of work is next week (teacher), so I'm just taking it easy.

My husband is currently deployed and should be home late next month, but the way I've been feeling lately worries me. I worry about being alone and passing out with my daughter there with me. It scares me to say the least. Besides that I'm scared of getting pree again, especially so early. I'm trying not to be negative, but I know that the chances of it happening again are likely especially with my bp on the rise. I just hope that the meds can help keep the bp low and that I won't have to go on bedrest.

On Monday when I call with my readings I'm going to explain my concerns to the doctors and see if there is anything my doctor can write up that might bring my husband home just a little bit early (it can't hurt, right?)

I don't have any advice, but wanted to send you good thoughts. I am sorry you are dealing with this! I hope the new medication can help get your bp undercontrol...the thought of passing out while alone with your daughter is very scary.

Good luck and keep us posted!

That sounds like a good plan. I hope he can do it for you! the bp thing can just shoot right up there from ok to bad so fast, as you know. :hug99: Please take care:hug99:

Oh Carrie!! You don't need such stress!! :hug99: Hang in there and just rest whenever you can. If there is ANYONE that can take DD a few afternoons a week for a few hours. Take them up on it!! You need rest and are SO early in your pregnancy!! Take good care!! :hug99:

if your dr puts you on "bedrest" pretty sure that you can get your husband home earlier, because you cannot take care of yourself. are you seeing tricare drs or drs outside of tricare... hopefully you can get him home soon.. it usually is a PIA but if there is a risk to your health with him not being there or caring for you they will send him home. thats the great thing about the military pay to come home and take care of you.

No, we no longer use Tricare. Where we are at, it just plain sucks; the care, doctors, hospitals, etc.

Well my bp is MUCH lower since being on the new medication. So, that is a good sign.
