A little excitement this morning

It's always an interesting midwife visit when she thinks she hears two heartbeats. The look on her face was priceless. I, on the other hand, just assumed it was a "shadow" of the actual heartbeat...but now I can't get the idea out of my head. She was about to do an u/s when she remembered I already had a pretty thorough one that showed only ONE little one ay 7 weeks. Plus my uterus measured right on track. I told her if there were two heads at 18 weeks she was going to be responsible for dropping hubby off at the nearest loony bin

I should have had her do the u/s anyway as, of course, I can hear "two" fetal heartbeats on my home doppler (digital screen). Ugh. This is going to be a long 6-ish weeks until my "big" scan. I'm not telling hubby. He'll keel over. I just can't believe in a little ID twin popping up...but what if?!?!?!?!?!? Maybe I'll have to call back and beg.

Oh my lord I would park my pregnant self outside the office until they took me for an u/s! Lol! Call and let us know what happens!

I wouldn't be able to wait either!

Am I the only glutton for punishment that would do twins again? Happily? I don't want any more kids unless somebody could guarantee that I'd have two again.

I'm having twins again and am happy. Not so much about the pregnancy and c/s but getting two babies!

Just because they only saw one at 7 weeks means nothing. I would be loony too demanding another u/s

Steph, I secretly wished Annabella turned into twins. There was a twinge of sadness when the one we transferred didn't split into two.

And, as she's grown...it's probably a good thing!

No, we are the same, we would love to have twins again, especially DH (I am a little scared of another 18 weeks of bedrest).

To the OP: I don't think I could wait for another 6 weeks either, and I can't imagine my doc making me wait ...

I spoke to the person on call (who delivered Rebecca and knows me well). She talked me off the ledge a little bit but we decided I would call on Monday and speak to the midwife I saw. Likely, I will ask for a scan to appease me, though I know in the back of my head there is a 99.9% chance we have one, beautiful little person in there. I would love another little peak at my baby.

Did you get the scan? Is it twins again?

Oooh, forgot to update. Sorry. No twins again. Just one little wriggly baby. I can still hear the heartbeat quite clearly in two different parts of my belly, but now one is definitely more of a "gallop" (if that makes any sense...lol). I'll admit to being a little disappointed. It would have been exciting. But at least I can stick with my brand new minivan and not have to worry about buying a new minibus :)
