My girls are only 6 months and are in the 12 months clothing..I was doing laundry today and had to pack all the 3-6 and 6-9 clothing up...I was so depressed where does the time go and why can't they stay little for just a little longer...LOL...I know 12 months clothes are still small..but I find they don't look like little babies anymore it makes them look like little toddlers for some reason cause everytime people would stop to see my girls they say "they must be 10 months or a year"..well I just wanted to share since my DH seems to think I'm insane for wanting them to stay small instead of embracing that next stage..but what does he know..LOL..thanks for listening

The time goes by so quickly! My guys were out of all their little stuff so quickly!

It didn't bother me to get out the new stuff and put it on them. AND THEN...I went into my closet and started sorting out all the newborn and up stuff. It made me so teary-eyed. So, I can totally relate. :hug99: I think men don't get it because they just want them to grow up so they can run around the backyard and go to the park and out for ice cream.......

I am SO with you. We just packed for a six week long trip and i went throught the drawers and saw all the (adorable) newborn and 0-3 month outfits that no longer fit and it made me SAD...even though every one says "don't be ridiculous, aren't you glad they're healty and growing?"

Of COURSE I'm glad of that, just sad taht this little phase is gone...and i don't think it's ridiculous. i think I have a very clear sense of how fleeting this time is (and terror of when they actually get mobile as they are now 4.5 months)

Every time i burp one in the middle of the night and she sighs and rests her sleepy head on my shoulder I try to just BE in that moment because i know they won't last forever when they are snuggled there so tightly...

I cry my eyes out every time I have to put away clothes that are too small for them...It is amazing how fast they grow.

This is exactly what my dh can't wait for!

I know exactly what you mean. They still seem like little babies until you see how small they used to be! :hug99:

Same here! My DH can't wait to take them to car shows and shopping and he can't wait til they can help him in the yard. I'm just sitting there like I want them to stay little forever. My little ones don't even want to be held that much anymore and that makes me sooo sad too! Time goes by too fast!

Oh my...I thought I was the only one that wanted them to stay small. I thought it sounded crazy because of course I want them to grow and be healthy, but I do want them to be babies forever. It's nice to know that I'm not alone in this!

I mentioned this to a friend of mine over the weekend. She's a teacher and she told me a Dad of one of her students told her that every age was his favorite. He thought 2 was his favorite age, and then she turned 3 and that became his favorite age.

Britten my GF told me the same thing. That every stage is her favorite but i miss my little ones being so small... They grow way to fast. :( I miss the preemie clothes yet at the time i was so excited to see them get into newborn stuff. I am almsot thankful that mine were so small (they came home with me) but they are 3.5 months and we are in newborn and 0-3 and 3-6 month stuff. ;)

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I just started putting 3-6 month on my twins and it makes me sad. I know these are our last two babies - we have four children now - so we are done. They grow way too fast and the more children you have the quicker it goes. I can totally relate.

I was sooo happy for them to get past that 12 week mark because we had bad colic and reflux...BUT now I'm so sad when I have to put stuff away that doesn't fit anymore. I just did this last night looking for PJs for Morgan. I kept pulling out a onesie and having to put it in the "does not fit" pile because they were too small. Reminds me how quickly this time goes. And they are getting so long now that rocking them comfortably is an issue because I feel like I'm scrunching up their legs. :( Thankfully they are still cuddlers and want Mommy love alot. I will be truly devastated when they stop wanting hugs so much. DH and I are determined to make our boys into "huggers". LOL
