A little bit on an update

Today I had a growth scan and baby A gained 9 oz!! So, she's 1lb 9oz, 10% percentile since 2 weeks ago. Baby B is 2lb 3oz, up 11 oz from 2 weeks ago. I know Baby A is small but she's still growing and we're happy for that. The docs still want to take things day by day and at least we know there will be no babies born in the next 24 hours. The u/s report did say that Baby A's diastolic blood flow in her cord is now reversed however, with her activity and passing her BPPs and NSTs, the docs are saying she's not fitting the clinical picture of babies in this situation. They would normally expect babies to be in distress but she's showing no signs yet. My hope is that I can stay pregnant another 2 weeks and hopefully our little one can get over 2 lbs.

That is great news! 28 weeks is a great milestone...way to go momma!

Yay!! I'm so happy to hear that baby A is hanging in there...sounds like she's a real fighter... 28 weeks is a great milestone, even if you were to have them in the next 24 hours you can feel great about passing that milestone!

 

Yeah Momma and Hooray Baby A! What a tough girl! 28 weeks is a wonderful milestone, hopefully you can make it a few more weeks. What a fighter you are going to have!

I will continue to pray for you and your babies. I know you have had a difficult pregnancy, but it must have made you feel great that she had gained 9oz!

9 oz is a great gain for two weeks for an IUGR baby :a_smil09: I'm praying for another 9 oz next 2 weeks (or at least 7oz) so she'll 2lbs. I can remember Jessy only gaining 3oz every week but one or 2

 

Wonderful news. At this point, even if she was born she most likely would do great. When little ones are in a stressful environment, they actually tend to mature faster. She likely will do better than your bigger twin. Plus, you've got the fact that she's a girl, which is a huge plus when it comes to being a premie. I feel confident that your baby girls are going to be just fine! Keep up the great work.
